摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of magnetic field of a power feeding device. SOLUTION: This feeding device is made up of a charging power supply and a feeding coupler 10 connected with this power supply via a cable 9. Contained inside this feeding coupler 10 is a primary coil 11, which is connected to the cable 9 via leads 15. Also, a magnetic shielding material 16 is provided inside the feeding coupler 10. Passing through the interior of this material, the leads 15 are connected with the cable 9. This structure makes the magnetic field generated around the leads 15 converge on the magnetic shielding material and thereby prevents it from leaking outside a cases 12.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger which can readily charge the battery of an electric automobile and, in addition, does not allow the driver of the automobile to start the automobile unaware that the charging of the battery has not been completed. SOLUTION: When the front wheels of an electric automobile E proceed to a movement-control unit 30 laid on the floor of a parking lot, a pressure- sensitive sensor 35 is actuated, and a control plate 40 is raised upright. A primary coil 42 is provided at the front end of the plate 40, and when the plate 40 is raised upright, the coil 42 faces a secondary coil 12 provided in the automobile E in a state in which the coil 42 can be coupled electromagnetically with the coil 12, and electric power is supplied to the battery 10 of the automobile E. Since the plate 40 is maintained in the upright state until the charging of the battery 10 is completed, the plate E prevents the movement of the automobile E, and when the driver at temps to start the automobile, the driver of the automobile E immediately becomes aware that the charging has not been completed. Therefore, the driver is surely prevented from starting the automobile without knowing that the battery is insufficiently charged.

It is detected that it is in charging by the currents from a charger 4 at the time of having connected connectors 5A and 5B, and the detection signal is sent to a control means 8, and during charging, the clutch 7 is kept in cut off condition. Hereby, during charging, it is kept in such condition that the power transmission from the motor 2 to the tire 3 is broken at all times, which can prevent the electric motorcar from being started by a mistake.

On the other hand, the main body of the vehicle body is provided with a terminal displacer 50, and it is arranged so that a charging circuit can be connected to the secondary battery 30, with the cable is in contact with a circular terminal 43. At the time of charging, an electric vehicle is parked, such that the secondary battery 30 faces the primary coil installed at the parking lot, and the secondary battery 30 and the charging circuit are connected with each other by the terminal displacer 50. Then, exciting the primary coil 70 will electromagnetically couple both coils 30 and 70 and charge the battery through the charging circuit.

SOLUTION: A charging coupler 10 incorporating a primary coil 15 is provided with a heat shielding cover 16. The heat shielding cover 16 is pivoted at a pin 17 and when the charging coupler 10 is inserted into a recess 31 at the power receiving section of an electric automobile, a guide section 21 pushes open the lower end part 16a. The primary coil 15 in charging coupler 10 is coupled electromagnetically with the secondary coil in the recess 31. When the charging coupler 10 is drawn out from the recess 31 after finishing the charging operation, the heat shielding cover 16 is closed by the reset spring 18 to protect the primary coil 15 against inadvertent touching by a human body.

The onboard controller 3 stores the charging history data, and detects any abnormality during the charging. 摘要： PURPOSE: To shorten the charging time of battery while reducing power loss by regulating the frequency of power being supplied from a charging station to a battery through electromagnetic induction and charging the battery with constant current in the first half of charging operation while charging the battery with constant voltage in the second half of charging operation. CONSTITUTION: When an electric automobile is charged, power is fed through a frequency converter and a noncontact connector to the automobile side by electromagnetic induction and then it is fed through a rectifier to a battery. A charge controller for battery detects the charging current and voltage of battery and delivers the data thereof to the charging station side where the frequency of power to be fed is controlled depending on the data. In case of 8 hour charging, for example, the frequency is varied in the range of 200-30kHz for 5 hours after start of charging operation so that the battery is charged with a constant current and then the frequency is varied in the range of 200-10kHz for the remaining 3 hours so that the battery is charged with a constant voltage.
