摘要： The invention concerns a clamping device for Christmas-tree stands in which the convenience of mounting is improved, the stability of the tree increased and the dependence upon the tree trunk diameter is substantially removed. In conventional Christmas-tree stands to fix the tree it is centred by the cut surface on a spike and then secured by means of adjusting screws which are screwed centrally into the trunk. This operation is now very unpleasant since it is necessary to handle the tree in the region of the branches and needles. The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of the known Christmas-tree stands. This object is essentially achieved in that the tree is clamped in a clamping device, which is actuated by a screw, and is centred on the cut surface. The device consists of the following parts: 1. housing 2. guide rails 3. wooden clamping members (3.1 abutment, 3.2 pressure piece) 4. threaded spindle with handle 5. centring spike 6. base In the upper third of a housing (1) guide rails (2) are mounted. The guide rails are shorter in order that the wooden clamping members (3), abutment (3.1) and pressure piece (2), can be pushed on the guide rails (2.1 and 2.2).
