摘要： An imaging system comprising apparatus for forming a latent image on a surface, said latent image including a first portion having a high level of electrostatic charge, a second portion having a low level of electrostatic charge and a third portion having an intermediate level of electrostatic charge, the charges on the first, second and third portions being of the same polarity; and apparatus for developing the latent image by contacting it with a liquid toner composition comprising an insulating, nonpolar liquid having admixed therewith a first type of pigmented particles having charges of a first polarity and a second type of pigmented particles having charges of an opposite polarity, such that the first type of pigmented particles becomes deposisted onto the first portion and the second type of pigmented particles becomes deposited onto the second portion.

摘要： On a mis au point un système d'imagerie comprenant un appareil destiné à former une image latente sur une surface, ladite image latente comprenant une première partie ayant un niveau élevé de charge électrostatique, une deuxième partie ayant un faible niveau de charge électrostatique, ainsi qu'une troisième partie ayant un niveau intermédiaire de charge électrostatique, les charges dans les première, deuxième et troisième parties étant de la même polarité. On a égalament mis au point un appareil permettant de développer l'image latente en la mettant en contact avec une composition de colorant comprenant un liquide isolant non polaire auquel sont mélangés un premier type de particules pigmentées ayant des charges d'une première polarité, ainsi qu'un second type de particules pigmentées ayant des charges d'une polarité opposée, de sorte que le premier type de particules pigmentées se dépose sur la première partie et que le second type de particules pigmentées se dépose sur la deuxième partie.
