摘要： An event-triggered pairing mechanism allows pairing wireless devices having short range interfaces (e.g., Bluetooth devices) by bumping the wireless devices together. A wireless device being paired with a connecting device detects a bump event, determines time information about the bump event, and then generates a private session key based on the time information. Once the devices are paired and the private session key is generated, user content can be securely exchanged between the devices.

In one or more embodiments, emergency calls are routed in a VoIP system (10) by receiving incoming emergency calls originated from dual-mode mobile devices (12) connected to the VoIP system (10) through wireless access points (WAPs) (14), determining locations associated with the incoming emergency calls, and redirecting callers to a cellular network (38). In other embodiments, emergency calls are routed in a VoIP system (10) by mapping WAP identifiers to emergency answering points (EAPs) (30), receiving an incoming emergency call from an originating WAP (14), identifying an EAP (30) relating to the originating WAP (14), and directing the emergency call to the identified EAP (30).

摘要： An image processing system identifies desired views of a particular subject and triggers a mobile camera device (110, 700) in proximity to the subject to capture a digital image, thus collecting new image data to augment an existing database. In an exemplary method, location data for a camera-equipped mobile communication device (110, 700) in visual proximity to a subject of interest (190) is received at an image collection server (600). Upon determining whether the location data corresponds to a desired view of the subject of interest (190), the image collection server (600) sends an image capture request to the mobile device (110, 700), triggering the user of the device to capture an image of the subject (190). Finally, digital image data is received from the mobile communication device (110, 700) in response to the image capture request. The digital image data may then be used for assembling a composite representation of the subject of interest (190), such as a 3D model of the subject.
