    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear processor capable of supporting a difference in a nonlinear characteristic according to a type or individual difference of a display device. SOLUTION: A three-dimensional correction on a signal level is made to an image signal which is subjected to a nonlinear process (γcorrection), in correspondence to a horizontal and vertical position of a pixel on a display screen of an image display part and the signal level of the pixel data by a three-dimensional correction value. Thus, a precise γ correction can be made, and besides a level boundary value on the signal level in the three-dimensional correction can be variably set. By doing so, the three-dimensional correction with optimum correction precision is possible with respect to a nonlinear characteristic of various display devices and each display device.
