    • PURPOSE:To provide a resistor which is stable against high temperature and pressure during a step of fabricating a cathode ray tube and has accurate resistance value by forming both ends of the resistor and electrodes at predetermined positions with RuO2-glass series containing larger RuO2 content than the glass series in the resistor. CONSTITUTION:On an alumina substrate 15 are formed electrodes 30a-30d by electrode material containing the same RuO2-glass series as the resistor 17 and higher RuO2-glass ratio than the resistor 17 together with low area resistance. Then, the resistor 17 is formed among the electrodes. In this case guide patterns 31a-31f are provided so as to slightly coat the edges facing oppositely with each other of the respective electrodes 30a-30d. The resistor 17 is made of RuO2-glass series material. The resistor 17 is fabricated, for example, by adding additive such as Ti, Al2O3 or the like and RuO2 powder to binder of boro-silicated glass, mixing an organic binder and a solvent such as BCA or the like therewith, printing agitated paste thereon and calcining it.

    • PURPOSE:To widen effective display area and achieve the simplification of production process and the reduction of cost by sandwiching a tubular body bent in loop form with two sheets of plates, containing dispaly element in the space formed by fixing these and using the tubular body as exhaust tube. CONSTITUTION:A tubular body 21 bent to closed loop form of a square shape is sandwiched by two sheets of glass plates 22, 23 and between the tubular body 21 and plate bodies 22, 23 are sealed and fixed by means of sealing material 24, whereby the space encircled by the tubular body 21 at the circumferential part is formed between the plate bodies 22, 23. Display parts 27 such as 7-segments, etc. are deposited and formed on the plate 23 within this space and their display may be observed through the transparent plate body 22. After the air in this space is exhausted through the tubular body 21, getter material 28 is flashed by using laser light such as CO2 laser or other. Such constitution enables the display device of a wide effective display area and easy manufacture to be manufactured inexpensively.
