    • Laser diodes have an age and temperature-dependent driver current. The emitted light power is detected and adjusted by a monitor component. Prior art transmission assemblies are, however, suitable only for multi-directionally emitting semiconductor lasers. The transmisstion assembly of the invention consists of a single-side-emitting semiconductor laser (3) and a monitor component (4), the active surfaces (8, 9) of the two components being directed to a coupling device (1), in which are integrated optical coupling components in the form of lenses (6) and reflecting components in the form of reflective surfaces (7). The arrangement of the coupling device (1) is such that at least a part of the emitted radiation (10) reaches the monitor component (4), while the remaining part passes through the coupling device (1) to the coupling component (6) and is bunched thereby, e.g. into a light guide (14). The transmission assembly is particularly suitable for vertical cavity surface emitting laser diodes.

    • The invention concerns a transmitter arrangement comprising a plurality of semiconductor lasers disposed adjacent one another. According to the invention, in order to construct a transmitter arrangement of this type as easily as possible whilst preventing the semiconductor lasers from having unacceptably high light outputs, at least one monitoring laser (LDu) is provided with which a monitor diode (M) is associated. The monitor diode (M) is connected to an electronic circuit arrangement (2) which, with the semiconductor lasers (LD1 to LDn) being controlled in parallel accordingly, controls the monitoring laser (LDu) such that an electrical signal (Sg) of the monitor diode (M) constantly displays a default value. A correcting quantity is formed with this value and a desired signal corresponding to the desired value of the optical output of the monitoring laser (LDu). If a current (e.g. I1d1) flowing through the semiconductor lasers (e.g. LD1) exceeds the current flowing through the monitoring laser (LDu) and weighted with the correcting quantity (Id1u), this semiconductor laser (LD1) is controlled in a manner such that its output is decreased.

    • A cordless telephone has several mobile elements (MTn) allocated to a fixed element (FT). In order to establish a connection between the fixed element (FT) and one of the mobile elements (MTn), an incoming call (AR) is converted to an outgoing call. The exchange of the required communication data occurs exclusively over speech channels. An identification code with group or individual identification is emitted by the fixed element (FT) as an identification message (KMn) with a call message (RM). The call is signalled by the mobile parts (MTn) connected to one group. Call-indicator messages (RAM) are sent back one by one on a free channel. The fixed element (FT) monitors the channels until an established-connection message (VAM) is sent by a mobile element (MTn), a fork switch having been actuated. Said mobile part (MTn) thereby initiates the establishment of a connection. The fixed part (FT) can also call one mobile part (MTn) after another individually. Each mobile part (MTn) sends back on the same channel the call-indicator message (RAM) and, after the fork switch has been actuated, the established-connection message (VAM).
