    • The invention pertains to a cordless telecommunication system with backup interoperability of cordless telecommunications applications, in particular a GAP-specific DECT system (DECT/GAP system) with a cordless base station (G-BS) and cordless mobile units (D-MT, G-MT, D/G-MT) capable of telecommunication with the cordless base station (G-BS) via an air interface and greater in number than the telecommunication channels available in parallel with the cordless base station. To ensure that a multiaddress/group call is possible and interoperability of the cordless telecommunication applications is preserved, use is made of a hybrid mode based on a connection-based quasi-multiaddress/group call and a connectionless multiaddress/group call.
