    • A converter (100, 200) for converting an input current (111) to an output voltage (VOUT), the converter comprising: a first region (101, 201); a second region (102, 202) galvanically separated from the first region; an input reference node (115) in the first region, wherein the converter is adapted to allow a flow of the input current through a device (204) to the input reference node (115); a circuitry (113, 117, 131, 133, 137, 143, 145) for generating, based on the input current (111), the output voltage (VOUT) relative to an output reference electric potential (GND_inn), wherein the circuitry comprises a voltage transfer component (145) for transferring the output voltage (VOUT) from the first region (101) to the second region (102), wherein the voltage transfer component comprises a first circuit (147) in the first region (101) and a second circuit (149) in the second region (102), wherein the first circuit is adapted to be driven by a first electric supply voltage (VI) relative to a first supply reference potential (GND); and an output terminal (163, 263, 268), located in the second region (102, 202) and connected to the second circuit (149), for outputting the output voltage (VOUT).
