    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray emission device in which sufficient X-ray outputs can be generated by a comparatively little laser power and electron beams can be easily focused, and a quick recovery can be attained due to a simple and efficient cooling of a system. SOLUTION: The X-ray emission device is provided with a vacuum vessel (1) which can rotate around one axis line (3), an anode (5) which emits X rays (29), a cathode (11) which emits electrons when laser beams (19) are irradiated, an insulating member separating the cathode (11) from the anode (5) by a part of the vacuum vessel (1), a high voltage impressing means which impresses a high voltage between the anode (5) and the cathode (11), a rotating means (35) which rotates the vacuum vessel (1) around the axis (3), a cooling means which cools down structural elements of the X-ray emission device, and a laser beam focusing means (18) in which laser beams (19) from a static laser source (17) placed outside of the vacuum vessel (1) is focused toward a static laser focus (21).
