    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable production while averting a high temp. and pressure by using first and second laminates provided with a first layer and a second layer having high compressibility, both of which layers have high mechanical strength, as the laminate for optical components. SOLUTION: This laminate for the optical components includes the first polymer layer 10 which is laminated on the second polymer layer 20 and is coated with an adhesive layer 30 on at least one side. The laminate 5 is used in the way of enclosing plural optical fibers 40. The laminate 5 may be used for enclosing another optical components, such as an optical amplifier and optical waveguide. The first polymer layer 10 is so selected as to impart the high mechanical strength to the laminate 5 in order to resist the damage of the enclosed optical component 40 by the mechanical stresses exerted on the laminate 5. Further, the second polymer layer 20 is so selected as to impart a buffer property to the laminate 5 in order to protect the enclosed optical component 40 against shearing force.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved connecting part of an optical fiber route determination board. SOLUTION: An optical fiber route determination board 5 for determining the routes of a plurality of optical fiber cables has one optical conductor 10 or a plurality thereof arranged between a first lower laminate layer 50a and a first upper laminate layer 50b. The optical conductor 10 is connected to at least one optical fiber of a plurality of optical fiber cables 12, at least one of the lower and upper laminate layers 50a and 50b is mounted on at least one sheath 40 for enclosing at least one optical fiber, extending over a first length. The board 5 suitably has a second laminate layer positioned between the first upper or lower laminate layer and the optical conductor, and by using two laminate layers, each laminate layer can have a different characteristic. One layer can reduce the horizontal stress between a connecting element and an enclosed optical fiber, and the other layer can reduce the longitudinal stress.
