    • The invention relates to a continuous steam generator (1) comprising a combustion chamber (2) provided with a plurality of burners for fossil fuel. A vertical gas duct (8) is connected downstream of the combustion chamber, on the hot gas side, in an upper region (4) over a horizontal gas duct (6). The outside wall (12) of the combustion chamber (2) is formed from evaporation pipes which are welded together in a gas-tight manner and mounted upstream of a water separator system (22) on the flow medium side and from overheating pipes which are welded together in a gas-tight manner and mounted downstream of the water separator system (22) on the flow medium side. Said water separator system (22) comprises a plurality of water separation elements (24), each water separation element comprising an inlet tube (28) which is connected to the respective upstream evaporator tubes, which extend into a water evacuation tube (30) when seen in the longitudinal direction thereof. In the transition area, a number of outflow tubes (32) branch off, said tubes being connected to an inlet collector (40) of the overheating pipes which are respectively mounted downstream. The aim of the invention is to produce said type of continuous stream generator which maintains a particularly high operational flexibility whilst at the same time reducing construction and repair costs. A distributer element (42) is arranged on the evaporator side between the respective water separator element (24) and the inlet collector (40).
