    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation agent for use in manufacture of a solidified molding which has strength and durability appropriate for an intended purpose and use as a temporary material, an embedded material and the like, which does not adversely affect the human body and environments, and which can be more easily dismantled and removed.SOLUTION: In a biodegradable fixation agent for use in manufacture of a solidified molding, for example, for being installed on a slope, food-borne components having a solidification action are used as active components. In this case, preferably, the active components comprise one or more components selected from the group formed from ovalbumin, casein, gelatin and chitosan.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for efficiently and economically insolubilizing a harmful metal such as manganese in soil.
SOLUTION: This treatment method for the soil containing the harmful metal includes a step for reducing pH of the soil by adding an acidic substance after pH of the soil is adjusted to be alkaline by adding an alkaline substance to the soil containing the harmful metal. A method for preparing plant seedling raising culture soil from a sludge generated at a water purification plant containing the harmful metal includes a step for reducing pH of the sludge by adding an acidic substance after pH of the sludge is adjusted to be alkaline by adding an alkaline substance to the sludge generated at the water purification plant containing the harmful metal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently decompose environmental hormones of a very small concentration by thickening environmental hormonal materials by an adsorbent, administrating decomposition bacteria, nutrient salts, moisture, air, or the like, thereto, thereby decomposing the environmental hormones. SOLUTION: The environmental hormones are thickened by the adsorbent and are decomposed by the decomposition bacteria, and the like, by using this device. An ozone treating tank or activated sludge treating vessel is not always required here and the thickening and decomposing efficiency is improved if there are these treating vessels. Also, a bioactive carbon treating vessel 2 is not always essential but since the chemical materials flowing over from the bioactive carbon treating vessel 1 may be subjected to the decomposition treatment, the treating vessel 2 is preferably installed in combination if possible. The decomposition activity is not enhanced before the decomposition bacteria are stabilized by assimilating the chemical materials adsorbed on the active carbon. If, however, the adhesion of the decomposition bacteria to the active carbon stabilizes, representative bisphenol A may be decomposed about 70 to 100% for from two weeks to about one month.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antifouling material which is safe for human bodies and environments and shows repellent effect against harmful attached organisms (foulings) in water for a long period of time by using a silicone and a repellent in combination. SOLUTION: This antifouling material is obtained by formulating 50-90wt.% of a silicone of preferably silicone gel or antimicrobial silicone with 10-50wt.% of a repellent (e.g. 2,5,6-tribromo-1-methylgramine) of preferably gramine and/or nicotinic amide. This antifouling material is applied to walls of intakes and overflows, bottoms of ships, structures in water and intakes of cooling water in forms of coating materials, solutions or emulsions when necessary and utilized by kneading it with polymeric resin materials, e.g. fishing net and the like, and materials for use in water, e.g. concrete and the like. The above antifouling material can prevent large-sized organisms in water, e.g. shellfishes such as barnacle and oyster, algae and microorganisms from adhesion for a long period of time.
