    • PURPOSE:To accurately measure the dew point of gas to be measured by a small sensor, by attenuating measuring light to the end surface of each of opposed optical fibers while cooling said optical fibers by a thermo-module. CONSTITUTION:A thermo-module 1 is operated to cool the space between the terminal parts 2a, 2'a of optical fibers 2, 3' and the vapor of gas to be measured is condensed to the end surfaces of the terminal parts 2a, 2'a and between the end surfaces to adhere a dew to each end surface. When the dew is adhered to the end surfaces by this mechanism, the dew performs the ion absorption of light and, therefore, attenuated light is inputted to the other optical fiber 2'. As a result, the light attenuation is detected by a light receiving element and the dew point temp. of the gas to be measured is detected by a temp. detector 3 to make it possible to know the relative humidity of the gas to be measured.
