    • The present invention relates to a pad for fabricating a touch panel, a method for fabricating the touch panel using the same, and the touch panel fabricated by the same. The pad comprises: an insulation layer made of organic and inorganic insulators, a conductive coating layer formed on the upper surface of the insulation layer, a metallic coating layer formed on an upper surface of the conductive coating layer, and a metallic protection coating layer formed on the surface of the metallic coating layer. As a result, the invention enables the production of the resistive touch panel through a fabrication process simpler than a conventional fabrication process using a silver paste. Therefore, the touch panel can be easily fabricated and the fabrication cost can be reduced. In addition, a compact device can be fabricated by forming finer conducting wires. In particular, the step difference can be minimized in a capacitive touch panel so that defects such as bubbles in a bonding plane can be prevented in the bonding of an adhesive layer. Furthermore, the invention: enables the production of a touch panel having high resolution, allows long lasting of the metallic coating layer by preventing the corrosion of the metallic coating layer, and is able to prevent the reduction of durability of the touch panel resulting from corrosion by reducing the corrosion after fabricating the device.

    • The present invention relates to a resistive touch panel. The resistive touch panel includes a lower pad, an isolation layer and an upper pad. The lower pad comprises: a lower insulation layer; a lower transparent conductive oxide layer that is formed as a touch pattern on the upper surface of the lower insulation layer; and a lower metallic coating layer that is formed as a connection pattern from the lower transparent conductive oxide layer to the edges of the lower insulation layer, wherein the connection pattern is for outputting an electric signal. The isolation layer is bonded with the upper edges of the lower pad. The upper pad is bonded with the upper surface of the isolation layer and comprises: an upper insulation layer; an upper transparent conductive oxide layer that is formed as a touch pattern on the lower surface of the upper insulation layer; and an upper metallic coating layer that is formed as a connection pattern from the upper transparent conductive oxide layer to the edges of the upper insulation layer, wherein the connection pattern is for outputting an electrical signal. As the result, the invention enables the production of the resistive touch panel through an inexpensive material and a simple fabrication process compared with a conventional fabrication process that uses a silver paste as the connection pattern for the output from an ITO layer to the outside. Therefore, the touch panel can be easily fabricated and the fabrication cost can be reduced. In addition, a silver material can be prevented from being cracked in an FPCB connection. Furthermore, the invention allows the production of a compact device by enabling the formation of fine and uniform conducting wires and is able to reduce the damage of an edge ITO by minimizing the step difference between the upper pad and the lower pad.

The touch panel of the present invention can be manufactured through processes simplified as compared to conventional processes where a silver paste is applied. Further, the present invention enables the pattern of transparent conductive material coating layer to be discriminated with the naked eye, and thus enables a function test and a visual test to be easily performed during the process, resulting in reductions in the defect ratio and in the manufacturing costs.

The bonding method comprises the following steps: applying an antioxidant material to a portion or the entirety of the upper surface of the metal coating layer of the pad for a touch panel; preparing a stacked body in which an adhesive layer is stacked in a portion of the metal coating layer and in a portion of the antioxidant material, and a bonding layer is bonded onto the upper surface of the adhesive layer; and stacking and bonding the circuit board including the coupling electrode to the connection electrode, which is an open portion of the metal coating layer such that the circuit board faces the connection electrode with an anisotropic conductive adhesive therebetween. According to the present invention, the antioxidant material is applied to the metal coating layer exposed during the bonding of the pad for a touch panel to the circuit board so as to simultaneously seal and bond the metal coating layer, thereby shortening the time required for manufacturing an assembly consisting of the pad for a touch panel and the circuit board, and improving productivity.

The present invention solves the problem of corrosion in the opening portion of the connection electrode portion, which enhances the durability of the touch panel, by using a corrosion-resistant metal to coat the opening portion of the connection electrode portion of the pad for a touch pad, the opening portion of the connection electrode portion being provided in order for the pad for a touch panel to be electrically connected to an external circuit board such as a FPCB.
