    • PURPOSE:To provide simply very precise partial plating having uniform characteristics, by using a united body of a conductive elastomer and a insulative elastomer that are each connected to a connecting terminal as an electrifying member for electroplating of a metallic conductor such as a base plate for a printed circuit. CONSTITUTION:On an electrifying member 1, an insulative elastomer formed body 2 and a conductive elastomer formed body 3 in a hollow part installed on the attachment surface under pressure of the member 1 are disposed to unite them in one body. Over the entire surface of a side opposite to this side or in a hollow part installed on the side, a metallic or a conductive elastomer formed body 6 is disposed to unite it and the member 1 in one body. Connecting terminals 4 and 5 are connected to formed bodies 3 and 6 respectively to unite them in one body. In plating, the formed body 3 is only attached under pressure to a metallic conductor that is a cathode and a body to be plated, and then when they are connected electrically to be energized, a current flows form an anode 5 through the formed body 6, a plating liquid, the metallic conductor, and the formed body 3 to the cathode 4. In this process, a distance between the anode and cathode is maintained constant invariably so that plating having uniform characteristics is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid accumulation of generated heat and increase the durability, by covering the heating element disposed on the surface of metal roll through an electric insulating layer with a heat conductive insulating elastic body. CONSTITUTION:A metal roll 1 is treated with primer or the like as required, and is wrapped with an elastic sheet excelling in thermal conductivity and electric resistance which is gaged by a specified thickness, thereby forming an electric insulating layer 2. A heating element 3, i.e., a surface heating element having a heating element circuit made of metal foil formed on the surface of elastic body of good thermal conductivity by etching method is wound around the layer 2 so that the heating element circuit may be situated outside, or linear heating elements are directly wound around the layer 2 at specified intervals. Then, an uncured elastic body 4 excelling in thermal conductivity and electric resistance being gaged to the specified thickness to form a surface layer is uniformly wound around the heating element 3, and is charged in a forming die to harden the elastic body, then a heating fixing roll is accomplished after heating treatment.
