    • A light-emitting diode (LED) string is provided. The LED string includes a power plug configured for connecting with a power source to power the LED string; one or more LED sockets configured for electrically connecting with the power plug; one or more LEDs configured for being installed on and electrically connecting with the LED sockets; and a control module configured for being electrically connected with anyone of the LED sockets. The control module includes a control circuit, an input terminal and an output terminal, the control circuit electrically connects with one of the LED sockets via the input terminal and the output terminal and controls a current flowing through the LED string to change from a first value to a second value, thereby controlling the LED string to light.

    • An illumination device includes a light sensor, a light-emitting unit, a switch unit and a processing unit. The light sensor is configured for sensing ambient light intensity and providing results based on the sensed light intensity. The switch unit is configured for controlling the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and a power unit. The processing unit includes a control module and a light adjusting module. The controlling module is configured for turning off the switch unit to cut off the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and the power unit during the sensing of the light intensity. The light adjusting module is configured for adjusting the brightness of the light-emitting unit according to the results provided by the light sensor. A related method is also provided.

    • A power source selection circuit includes an external power port and a battery compartment, which are used to connect to an external power source and a battery module, respectively. The power source selection circuit further includes a selection switch including a control terminal connected to the external power port, and a first path terminal connected to the battery compartment. A first unidirectional switch connects a second path terminal of the selection switch to a power output port. A second unidirectional switch connects the external power port to the output terminal. When the external power port is connected to the external power source, the control terminal of the selection switch is at a high voltage and the selection switch is cut off accordingly, thereby the path from the battery module to the power output port is cut off and the external power source provides power to the output port.
