摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently agitate electrolytes in a short time by inverting a freely flowing electrolyte for the purpose of mixture, followed by gassing, whereby a non-freely flowing electrolyte and the freely flowing electrolyte pass through a separator, for substitution and agitation. CONSTITUTION:Sulfuric acid of a low concentration is injected into a separator type lead-acid battery, which can be chemically converted. The sulfuric acid of a low concentration is discharged while sulfuric acid of a high concentration is injected. When the sulfuric acid of a high concentration is injected into a battery jar 1, an electrolyte flowing inside the battery jar 1 is laminated in a high concentration region 2 and a low concentration region. The battery is inverted. Accordingly, the electrolyte flowing inside the battery jar (i.e., a freely flowing electrolyte) can be mixed. Although the freely flowing electrolyte outside of a separator is agitated when the battery is inverted to the original state, active substance and an electrolyte intruding into a pore formed inside of the separator (i.e., a non-freely flowing electrolyte) cannot be sufficiently mixed with the freely flowing electrolyte. (Consequently, a current is supplied to the battery for the purpose of gassing so that the non-freely flowing electrolyte and the freely flowing electrolyte pass through the separator, followed by agitation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate gas separation within a sack-shaped separator and allow intruding electrolytic solution to well diffuse by furnishing a welded and an unwelded portion when the bottom and the two sides of the separator are shut while certain gaps are reserved at these parts of the separator, and dislocating the mating surfaces of the welded and unwelded portions at the ends from each other. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom and the two ends of a sack-shaped separator 1 made of polyethylene etc., a welded portion 2 not admitting intrusion of electrolytic solution and an unwelded portion 3 admitting coming in/out of the electrolytic solution are furnished while a gap between 2-10mum is reserved. The mating surfaces of the welded 2' and unwelded 3' portions at the ends are dislocated from each other and the gaps provided in these places enable the electrolytic solution to anywhere intrude into and come out of the separator 1. An electrode plate 4 having a protruding tab 5 is sunk where this separator 1 is arranged, which eliminates risk of shortcirctuiting of the electrode plate 4.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a uniform electrolytic solution equipped with an intended specific gravity, which excels in the producibility, consumes less power, and is free from the risk of contaminating the environment, when an assembly lead acid battery not having undergone a chemical formation process having a sack-shaped separator is to be charged. CONSTITUTION:For charging, a low specific gravity sulphuric acid is poured in an assembly lead acid battery not having undergone a chemical formation process having a sack-shaped separator, and then the specific gravity of the electrolytic solution is adjusted by the use of sulpburic acid having a high specific gravity, wherein the high specific gravity sulphuric acid is poured in at a low speed of below 100ml/min while current is fed with a current density over 25mA/cm . Thereby a uniform electrolytic solution ran be prepared in a short time.
