摘要： A double ranging drum cutter for long wall type machines for coal extraction is disclosed, which comprises a drum cutter body, a television camera mounted on the drum cutter body for picking up an image of a coal layer cutting portion of a lower bedrock being cut by a cutter drum, a television camera mounted on the drum cutter body for picking up an image of a coal layer cutting portion of an upper bedrock being cut by a cutter drum, and a video image processing unit mounted on the drum cutter body and connected to the television cameras, whereby the boundary between a coal layer and bedrock can be readily judged to permit extraction of much coal without cutting much bedrock and also the ratio of the area of a bedrock to the area of a coal layer in a portion of the bedrock being cut can be readily detected.

CONSTITUTION:An integrated monitoring board 42 for monitoring the shape of a working face 1 for sending a control signal, and a mobile-timbering control board 43 are provided underground or on the ground. To each of mobile timberings 6, a stroke sensor for detecting the stroke of a shifter for sending the detected signal is provided, and also a control unit which receives the control signal from the integrated monitoring board 42 and the detection signals from the respective stroke sensors and regulates the strokes of the shifters of respective mobile timberings 6 for bringing the working face into line is provided. And the values of the strokes of the respective stroke sensors are collected by the integrated monitoring board 42, and also from the accumulated value, the shape of the working face 1 is detected, and the shape of the working face 1 is automatically corrected on the basis of a given face reference command.

CONSTITUTION:The continuous cross-section inspection apparatus of a long magnetic substance is obtained in such a way that a magnetic-flux detection device wherein a magnetizer 11 which magnetizes the long magnetic substance 1 strongly and uniformly in the length direction up to a nearly saturated state, a search coil 13a which detects a change in the internal magnetic-flux amount of the magnetized long magnetic substance 1, a leakage flux sensor 13b which detects the leakage flux amount of the magnetized long magnetic substance 1, an integrator 14 which integrates the induced electromotive force of the search coil 13a and which obtains an output proportional to a change in the cross-sectional area of the long magnetic substance 1 and an amplifier 15 which amplifies the detection voltage of the leakage flux sensor 13b have been integrated is arranged so as to be capable of being moved relatively to the length direction with reference to the long magnetic substance 1.

CONSTITUTION:A magnetizer 2 which magnetizes a steel rope 2 stronly and uniformly in the length direction up to almost saturation state, a magnetic-flux detection device 5 which is provided with a search coil detecting a change in the internal magnetic-flux amount of the magnetized steel rope 1 and with a leakage flux sensor detecting the leakage-flux amount of the magnetized steel rope 1 and a tension measuring device 4 which measures the tension of the steel rope 1 are arranged so as to be capable of being moved relatively to the length direction with reference to the steel rope 1.
