    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely cure sealing material at the part being the shadow of a wiring and to improve reliability by sticking transparent substrates through the seal material consisting of ultraviolet curing resin, pressing them to attain specified cell thickness, radiating ultraviolet rays from both sides of a pair of transparent substrates and curing the seal material. SOLUTION: A polysilicon thin film transistor(TFT), a picture element electrode and a data line are formed in a matrix state on the transparent substrate 1. Next, a polyimide film is formed on a counter substrate 2 consisting of crystallized glass and the substrate 1 where the polysilicon TFT is formed, and the substrates 2 and 1 are stuck through the seal material 3 consisting of the ultraviolet curing resin after the processing of orientation. Specified pressure is applied to the upper and the lower substrates 1 and 2 for a specified time by a press-fixing jig 4 so as to attain the specified cell thickness, the ultraviolet rays 6 are radiated to all the surface of the seal material 3 from the substrate 5 side of the jig 4, then the seal material 3 is cured. Then, the ultraviolet rays 6 are simultaneously radiated from both sides of a pair of substrates in order to perfectly cure the seal material 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive liquid crystal display device which is widened in the permissible range of the unequal cell thicknesses of TN positive type liquid crystal display elements, increased in yield, free from the unequal colors of projected images, and has high quality, by unifying the cell thicknesses unequally. SOLUTION: The TN positive type liquid crystal display elements are used by combining the elements having unequal cell thicknesses which are respectively partially low with respect to a reference cell thickness and the elements having unequal cell thicknesses which are respectively partially high with respect thereto. When the projected images of the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 11 of R color and the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 12 of B color are laterally reversed with respect to the projected images of the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 13 for G color, the projected images of the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 11 of R color and the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 12 of B color are combined in comparison with the regions line symmetrical with the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements 13 for G color. As a result, the excellent projected images free from the unequal colors are obtd. even with the TN positive type liquid crystal display elements which have the asymmetrical unequal cell thicknesses which are heretofore regarded defective.

    • PURPOSE:To form a uniform gap of the titled device, without slipping off a position by providing with opening parts at the two corners of a substrate formed at least a shading layer on said plate. CONSTITUTION:An active switching element 2 is matrix-likely formed on a 1st. substrate 1 as a means of controlling the electrooptic effect of a liquid crystal, and the shading layer 5 is formed on a 2nd, substrate 4 to shield the light from a part except the effective image element of the 1st substrate 1, and the pair of the substrates formed, are stuck with a U.V. curable resin 6 with each other. At this time, the opening parts 7 are provided at the two corners of the substrate formed at least the shading layer on said substrate respectively, and the resin 6 is partially cured, masking the opening part 7, thereby adjusting the position of the substrate. Thus, the liquid crystal cell having the uniform gap, without slipping off the position is obtd. As the result, the display having the high contrast and the less unevenness is obtd.

SOLUTION: The irregular cell thickness of plural liquid crystal display elements is set so that the cell thickness at the center part may be smaller than that at the peripheral part. Then, the TN positive type liquid crystal display element where the cell thickness at the center part is smaller than that at the peripheral part and the TN positive type liquid crystal display element where the cell thickness thereat is larger are classified.     • PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display device which is bright, is high in contrast, is free from unequal display and has uniform and high image quality by varying the distances between data lines and pixel electrodes and the distances between scanning lines and the pixel electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A rubbing direction is set at the rubbing direction 12 of the lower substrate of transparent substrates and at a rubbing direction 13 of the upper substrate of the transparent substrates by using counterclockwise liquid crystals. The regions where reverse tilt discrimination arises are largest between the data lines 1 and the pixel electrodes 5 and, therefore, the distances a between the data lines 1 and the pixel electrodes 5 are taken large. Both the potential difference and level difference are larger between the data lines 1, 2 and the pixel electrodes 5 than between the scanning lines 3, 4 and the pixel electrodes 5 and, therefore, the electric field intensity in a transverse direction is higher between the data lines 1, 2 and the pixel electrodes 5. The generation where the reverse tilt discrimination arises is larger therebetween as well and, therefore, the distances a, c are set larger than the distances b, d between the scanning lines 3, 4 and the pixel electrodes 5.

    • PURPOSE:To equalize adhesive strength, a coefficient of heat expansion, etc., to uniform the cell gap of liquid crystal, and to improve display irregularities such as a contrast irregularity, a response irregularity, and a color irregularity by using resin of the same base for a seal member and a conductive member. CONSTITUTION:On the side of a transparent substrate 3 where a color filter layer 4 and a counter electrode 5 are formed, the conductive member 6 is formed by various printing method such as a screen printing method or a dispensing method. Then the seal member 7 is formed on the side of the other transparent substrate 1 by the screen printing method by using a material formed by mixing a prescribed amount of glass fiber of 7.5mum with ultraviolet- ray setting type resin consisting principally of epoxy modified (meth)acrylate. Then the couple of substrates where the seal member 7 and conductive member 6 are formed are stuck and pressed, and the seal member is set by irradiating with ultraviolet rays to obtain a liquid crystal cell which has a prescribed gap.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal panel which is free from uneven gaps and slippage in assembling so as to reduce unevenness in display, by using the same material for a pair of base plates. CONSTITUTION:A polysilicon thin-film transistor (TFT) 2 is formed in the form of a matrix on a transparent glass base plate 1 as a switching element. Then a light intercepting layer 4 is formed on another transparent glass base plate 3 by a plating method and a color filter layer 5 is formed on the layer 4 by using a photoengraving technique. After forming the layer 5, a common electrode 6 is formed on the layer 5 by a physically depositing method. Thereafter, the pair of glass base plates 1 and 3 are thermocompression-fixed to each other with a spacer 7 and gap forming agent in between them, and thus, a liquid cell is assembled. Then a liquid crystal panel is obtained by enclosing liquid crystal in the cell. When the same material is used for making the pair of base plates in such way, a liquid crystal panel which is free from uneven gaps and slippage in assembling can be obtained. As a result, unevenness in display, such as unevenness in color, contrast ratio, etc., can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a contrast ratio and a color reproductivity by reversing the input sequence of a color light reflected on a dichroic mirror for synthesizing the respective color lights and a video signal to the source line of an active matrix liquid crystal light value used for transmitted color light. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 2 on which a polysilicon thin film transistor and an opposite substrate having a shading layer are assembled on a liquid crystal cell through a spacer and a gap agent to seal a liquid crystal. When a source driving IC5 gang bonded to a flexible substrate 4 is connected to a liquid crystal panel through a soldering, the liquid crystal light valve for green and the liquid crystal valve for red, blue are vertically opposed. Then, a gate driving IC6 gang bonded to the flexible substrate 4 is mounted in the liquid crystal panel and finally connected to a frame form rigid substrate 1. Thereby, since the respective incident lights can be made incident, the deterioration in the contrast ratio can be prevented, the display characteristic of the respective panels is equal and the color reproductivity is improved.
