    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the danger in production by screen-printing a sealant consisting of an adhesive agent curable by UV rays to one substrate, crushing the same by the pressure exerted to two sheets of the substrates, irradiating UV rays to part of the sealant to tentatively fix the two substrates, then removing the pressure and irradiating the UV rays to the entire part of the sealant. CONSTITUTION:The sealant 3 consisting of the adhesive agent curable by UV rays is screen-printed on one substrate 1. The substrate 1 is then superposed on the other substrates 2 and the sealant is crushed to the spacing between the substrates defined by the spacers contained in the sealant while the force is exerted to the substrates 1, 2 from behind the same. The two substrates are tentatively fixed by irradiating the UV rays to part of the sealant. The pressure from the back is removed and the UV rays are irradiated to the entire part of the sealant to cure the entire adhesive agent curable by UV rays which is the sealant 3.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of leak light from nondisplay parts of a liquid crystal cell when imprinting a date, etc., on a photographic film, by providing polarizing plates on the top and reverse surfaces of the liquid crystal cell and dissolving a two-color pigment which has an absorption peak within a specific long wavelength range in liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:A twist nematic liquid-crystal is provided with a liquid-crystal layer wherein a two-color pigment which has a peak of absorption within the 570-700nm wavelength range is dissolved, polarizing plates are stuck to the top and reverse surfaces of the cell so that the cell is darkest in a nondisplay state, and internal surfaces of an upper and a lower electrode plate are rubbed so that the rubbing directions are at right angles to each other. A date, etc., are imprinted through this liquid crystal cell by using a tungsten filament lamp on the reverse surface of a film. Leak light from nondisplay parts other than desired liquid crystal display parts for the date, etc., is reduced greatly to imprint only the clear image of the display parts on the film even when the intensity of the light of the tungsten filament lamp is increased.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an economical and mass-producible liquid crystal display element by constituting a spacer of an ultraviolet setting type bonding agent and containing an ultraviolet setting type bonding agent as a main component and small quantity of a conductive substance in a conductive member. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display element consists of the 1st and 2nd substrates 1, 2, liquid crystal 7 sealed between the substrates 1, 2, spacers for sealing the liquid crystal 7 between the substrates 1, 2, and a conductive member inserted between the substrates 1, 2 to connect these substrates electrically. The spacer is constituted of the ultraviolet setting type bonding agent 3 and glass fiber 4 mixed into the bonding agent 3. The conductive member contains the ultraviolet setting type bonding agent 5 and the conductive substance 6. Said constitution makes it possible or the conductive member to connect the electrode on the 1st substrate with that of the 2nd substrate efficiently.
