    • A Digital Video Broadcasting-Cable (DVB-C) system and a processing method for reserved tones are provided. A transmitter determines a position of broadcast data and a position of reserved tones in a frame and sends a broadcast signal into which the broadcast data and the reserved tones are inserted. A receiver determines the position of reserved tones in a received broadcast signal and extracts broadcast data from the broadcast signal in consideration of the determined position of the reserved tones. The system and method may compensate for the peak power of broadcast data to be transmitted through a multi-channel bundle, by inserting reserved tones into the whole multi-channel bundle with combined channel bands. This may reduce the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of broadcast signals in the DVB-C system and thereby improve the performance of the DVB-C system while still adopting Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM).

    • PURPOSE: A method and a device for transmitting and receiving a preamble in an OFDM system are provided to supply a preamble estimation method robust against a frequency offset error using the preamble using a kwon sequence without frequency tuning information. CONSTITUTION: A tuner controller(1003) determines a receiving band which is required among specific bands. A tuner(1002) receives a reception signal through a reception band according to the control of the tuner controller. A preamble detector(1004) detects the preamble of the number of the reception signal of the specific reception band tuned by the tuner. A sequence detector(1005) finds out a sequence position of a first code block from the received preamble. The sequence detector detects the real control information length and position from the sequence position of the first code block. A control information extractor(1006) extracts the control information through the detected control information length and position. A data extractor(1007) decodes the data of the channel received through the parameter accepted in the extracted control information.
