SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device according to this invention renders an external video signal received through an interface by converting the video signal into an RGBW video signal by a signal converter part. After that, the processed RGBW video signals are stored once in a buffer part, and further the RGBW signals are provided to a liquid crystal panel from the buffer part.

摘要： In a method of fabricating a thin film transistor array substrate for a liquid crystal display, a gate line assembly is formed on a substrate with a chrome-based under-layer and an aluminum alloy-based over-layer while proceeding in the horizontal direction. The gate line assembly has gate lines, and gate electrodes, and gate pads. A gate insulating layer is deposited onto the insulating substrate such that the gate insulating layer covers the gate line assembly. A semiconductor layer and an ohmic contact layer are sequentially formed on the gate insulating layer. A data line assembly is formed on the ohmic contact layer with a chrome-based under-layer and an aluminum alloy-based over-layer. The data line assembly has data lines crossing over the gate lines, source electrodes, drain electrodes, and data pads. A protective layer is deposited onto the substrate, and patterned to thereby form contact holes exposing the drain electrodes, the gate pads, and the data pads. The sidewall of the under-layers for the gate line assembly and the data line assembly is exposed through the contact holes. An IZO-based layer is deposited onto the substrate, and patterned to thereby form pixel electrodes, subsidiary gate pads, and subsidiary data pads. The pixel electrodes are connected to the sidewall of the drain electrodes, and the subsidiary gate and data pads are connected to the sidewall of the gate and the data pads.

The red pixels and the green pixels are alternately arranged in a column direction and the blue pixels are arranged in the column direction. Four red and green pixels surrounding adjacent two blue pixels in neighboring two pixel rows face each other. Pixel electrodes and a common electrode have cutouts. A ratio of horizontal to vertical of each pixel is equal to 2:3. In this structure, a PenTile Matrix driving provides high resolution images, and the control of the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules by the cutouts of the pixel electrode and the common electrode and the common electrode provides wide viewing angle.

摘要： First, a Cr film and a CrOx film are deposited and patterned using an etchant including 8-12% Ce(NH4)2(NO3)6, 10-20% NH3 and remaining ultra pure water to form a gate wire including a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of gate electrodes and a plurality of gate pads. Next, a gate insulating film, a semiconductor layer and an ohmic contact layer are formed in sequence. A Cr film and CrOx film are deposited in sequence and patterned using an etchant including 8-12% Ce(NH4)2(NO3)6, 10-20% NH3 and remaining ultra pure water to form a data wire including a plurality of data lines, a plurality of source electrodes, a plurality of drain electrodes and a plurality of data pads. A passivation layer is deposited and patterned to form a plurality of contact holes respectively exposing the drain electrodes, the gate pads and the data pads. A transparent conductive material or a reflective conductive material is deposited and patterned to form a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of subsidiary gate pads and a plurality of subsidiary data pads electrically connected to the drain electrodes, the gate pads and the data pads, respectively. The gate lines and the data lines with low reflectance are used as a light-blocking film for blocking the light leakage between the pixel areas, and do not increase the black brightness. Accordingly, a separate black matrix need not be provided on the color filter panel, thereby securing both aperture ratio of the pixel and high contrast ratio.
