    • An interference avoiding method in a wireless mobile communication system is provided to enable an MS(Mobile Station) to measure a signal strength ratio between a serving BS(Base Station) and a neighboring BS and to select preferred resource bands for minimizing inter-cell interference, thus the MS is able to be allocated with resource bands for minimizing interference signal reception. An MS measures the strength of signals received from a serving BS and neighboring BSs(301). The MS operates a ratio of the signal strength between the serving BS and the neighboring BSs(303). The MS compares the operated signal strength ratio with a preset reference strength value(305). The MS determines preferred resource bands capable of minimizing interference signal reception according to the compared results(307). The MS reports index information on the determined bands to the serving BS(309).

    • A data transceiving device in a communication system and a method are provided to transceive data by considering channel characteristics between a transmitter and a receiver in the system, thereby adaptively transceiving the data according to channel changes between the transmitter and the receiver and transceiving the data through effective encoding method.
