    • PURPOSE: A communication method for an air conditioner is provided to confirm a data traffic amount between an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, and to improve data transfer rate by performing a most suitable communication method. CONSTITUTION: A communication method for an air conditioner comprises the following steps: confirming a data traffic amount of a data transfer performed by an outdoor unit and an indoor unit; determining a communication method based on the data traffic amount; and performing the communication using the selected communication method. The data traffic amount is confirmed by an average change rate of the traffic. The communication method comprises a time-sharing method, a token-ring method, and an event-driven method. The time-sharing method is selected when the traffic is over a first standard coefficient(S140). The token-ring method is selected when the traffic is under the first standard coefficient but over a second standard coefficient(S150). The event-driven method is selected when the traffic is under the second standard coefficient(S160).

    • PURPOSE: A communication method of an air-conditioner is provided to improve the communication speed of date and to reduce the entire communication by making the communication smooth. CONSTITUTION: Data is classified into first data and second data according to changing of the data(S320). The classified data is communicated to the different communications method(S330). The first data is the information which frequently changes. The first data comprises sensor information, valve operation information and compressor operation information. The second data is the information which frequently does not change. The second data comprises added device information, operating information, system information and error message information. The first data periodically communicates. The second data communicates irregularly.

    • A washing machine and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent damage to clothes caused by contraction and deformation of the clothes by performing a washing operation only when a washing condition on the clothes is satisfied. A washing machine includes a drum(30), a first temperature sensor(23), a second temperature sensor, and a control section. The drum forms a washing space. The first temperature sensor detects the temperature of washing water. The second temperature sensor detects the temperature of the interior of the drum. The control section determines whether a washing condition for washing clothes is satisfied on the basis of the temperatures of the interior of the drum and the washing water. The control section performs the washing operation after the washing condition is satisfied.
