In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining device capabilities associated with one or more UPnP devices in an UPnP home network environment, and aggregating the device capabilities associated with the one or more UPnP devices. The method also includes mapping the aggregated device capabilities associated with the one or more UPnP devices in a user agent profile. The method further includes communicating the user agent profile containing the device capabilities associated with the one or more UPnP devices to a service provider network so that the service provider network provides telephony services to the one or more UPnP devices based on the respective device capabilities.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and system for enhanced event notification in a universal plug and play (UPnP) home network environment. In one embodiment, a system includes a telephony server (TS) and at least one telephony control point (TelCP) connected to the TS via an UPnP home network. The TS is configured for fetching information associated with a remote party when an incoming event (e.g., a call, a message, update, etc.) associated with the remote party is arrived, where the incoming event notification includes contact information, image information, location information, presence information, and/or service capabilities associated with the remote party. The TS is also configured for forwarding the incoming event with an incoming event notification to the at least one TelCP in the UPnP home network environment. The at least one TelCP is configured for displaying the remote party information along with the incoming event notification on the display.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and system for recalling a voice mail deposited in a voice mail server. In one embodiment, a voice mail for a recipient client device and a request for associated voice mail identifier is received from a sender client device. The voice mail is successfully deposited in memory and a voice mail identifier is assigned to the deposited voice mail. A voice mail submission notification with the voice mail identifier associated with the deposited voice mail is sent to the sender client device. When a user wishes to recall the voice mail, a request to recall a voice mail deposited for the recipient client device is received from a sender client device. Accordingly, a recall action is performed on the deposited voice mail, and a status of the recall action is notified to the sender client device and/or the recipient client device.
