    • 1352862 Vinyl chloride resin/unsaturated polyester compositions DAI NIPPON TORYO KK and LEBEN UTILITY KK 28 April 1971 [29 April 1970 16 June 1970 18 June 1970 24 July 1970] 11998/71 Heading C3P A resinous composition comprises: (a) a total amount of from 5À0 to 94À8 parts by weight of (i) a vinyl chloride resin which is a homopolymer of vinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride with a monomer copolymerizable therewith, the vinyl chloride resin having an average particle size of from 0À05 to 50 microns and an average degree of polymerization of from 500 to 2500, and (ii) one or more plasticizers, the components (i) and (ii) being present in a weight ratio of 5 : 3 to 1 : 9 and the or at least one of the plasticizers being a "reactive plasticizer"; (b) from 5À0 to 94À8 parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester resin having an average degree of condensation of at least 4 and an average molecular weight of at least 1000; and (c) from 0À2 to 3 parts by weight of a polymerization initiator; the total weight of the resinous composition being 100 parts by weight. In the examples the compositions comprise: polyvinyl chloride; Zn/Cd/Ba liquid organic complex, organic compound and organotin compound as stabilizers; polyesters prepared from maleic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, itaconic acid, adipic acid, isophthalic acid, dimethyl terephthalate, neopentyl glycol and propylene glycol; styrene, methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate; hydroquinone; trimethylol propane trimethacrylate, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, diethylene glycol dimethacrylate, tetraethylene glycol dimethacrylate, polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate and diallyl phthalate; di(2- ethylhexyl)phthalate and tricresyl phosphate; titanium dioxide and dibasic lead phthalate and cobalt naphthenate and dimethyl aniline and are cured using tert. butyl perbenzoate, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and benzoyl peroxide (in dioctyl phthalate) as castings, films and satin woven fabric of glass fibre laminates and as coatings on steel panels and hard board.

    • PURPOSE:To improve kneading workability and to facilitate the unification with the bone tissue or teeth tissue of a living body, by compounding alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of citric acid with at least one of a powder agent, which consists of an alpha-tricalcium phosphate and a calcium hydroxide powder, and a curing liquid. CONSTITUTION:This curable composition consists of a powder agent, wherein an alpha-tricalcium phosphate powder and a calcium hydroxide powder are together used and a calcium oxide powder or, if necessary, a barium sulfate powder is further used, and a curing liquid, and alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of citric acid is compounded with at least one of the aforementioned powder agent and the curing liquid. The proper use amount of the calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide powder is 0.5-5wt.% of the alpha-tricalcium phosphate powder and the use amount of the barium sulfate powder is used within a range of 5-30wt.% of the alpha-tricalcium phosphate. The curing liquid is composed of a copolymer consisting of polyacrylic acid or acrylic acid and at least one of unsaturated carboxylic acid selected from a group consisting of methacrylic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid and itaconic acid and the concn. of the aqueous solution of said copolymer is pred. within a range of 10-60wt.%.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve the miniaturization of the title system and high speed continuous operation and to form a coating film having good quality, in a defoaming treatment apparatus, by allowing paint to be treated to flow down in a curtain form to increase the surface area and reducing its pressure to apply defoaming treatment to the paint in a membrane state. CONSTITUTION:A defoaming treatment apparatus 4 is evacuated to be reduced to desired atmospheric pressure and, after the opening degrees of valves 20a, 20c are appropriately set, a pressure feed pump 20b is operated to introduce the new paint in a paint tank 2 into an upper chamber 14 from piping 20. This paint to be treated passes through a slit-like through-hole plate on the way to fall in a lower chamber 16 and, at this time, the paint becomes the membrane form corresponding to the arrangement pattern of slits and the surface area of the paint is sufficiently enlarged to fall in the lower chamber 16 while the tinning of the paint is promoted. Therefore, the air bubbles in the paint to be treated are rapidly and easily broken under reduced pressure to discharge air and the defoamed paint is accumulated in the lower part of a container before supply to the flow coater head 16 of a painting apparatus.
