    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator in which impurity gas can be discharged automatically by a simple device configuration, while minimizing reduction of output from a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A power generator includes a fuel cell 10 for output which generates power by hydrogen supplied to a flow path space 11 provided on the anode side, and a fuel cell 20 for detection for generating power by hydrogen contained in a gas discharged from the flow path space 11 to a flow path space 20a provided on the anode side. A valve 21 capable of open/close operation by an electric signal is connected with the flow path space 20a of the fuel cell 20 for detection, and load means 22 is connected electrically with the output part of the fuel cell 20 for detection. Furthermore, control means 23 sending an operation signal for open operation to the valve 21 when the output drops, based on the output of the fuel cell 20 for detection is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation device capable of automatically performing proper activation of a power generation cell even in a state that fuel at starting is insufficient without needing an accumulator battery for control separately.SOLUTION: A power generation device comprises: fuel supply means 31 generating a fuel gas; a plurality of power generation units 32a-32d each configured by a power generation cell that performs power generation by using the fuel gas supplied from the fuel supply means 31, and that are connected in series to each other; a plurality of load means 33a-33d electrically connected to respective output parts of the power generation units 32a-32d via switch elements 34a-34d; control means 35 performing control including processing of turning on the switch element 34a corresponding to any one of the plurality of power generation units 32a-32d at starting of the generation of the fuel gas by the fuel supply means 31, and after a predetermined condition is satisfied, turning on the switch element 34b corresponding to another power generation unit 32b; and a power supply circuit 36 supplying power for operating the control means 35 thereto.
