    • An image processing apparatus (10) for scanning and proofing an image at the same time includes: a) a rotatable drum (300) having a hollowed out interior port ion (304), and an imaging portion (461) on its exterior surface, and a scanning portion (462) on its interior surface, the drum (300) being mounted for rotation about an axis, the imaging portion (461) of the drum being arranged to mount a receiver sheet (32) and a donor sheet (36) in superposed relationship, the scanning portion of the drum being arranged to mount an input image (456) thereon; b) a motor (258) for rotating the drum (300); c) a printhead (500) external to the drum; d) an input scanner (455) inside the hollowed out interior portion (304) of the drum; e) a first lead screw (250) for moving the printhead (500) in a first direction, the printhead being mounted on the first lead screw (250), and a second lead screw (465) for moving the scanner (455) in a first direction, the scanner being mounted on the second lead screw (465); and f) a linear translation subsystem (210) or subsystems on which the printhead (500), scanner (455), drum (300), and lead screws (250, 465) are mounted. Alternatively, the printhead is inside the drum, and the scanner is external to the drum.

    • A color printer (10) for printing a color images comprising a vacuum imaging drum (300) for supporting a first receiver and a dye donor material (26) in registration with the first receiver. A motor rotates the vacuum imaging drum (300). An optical printhead directs energy on the dye donor material (26), which transfers colorant from the dye donor material (26) to the first receiver forming color images as the optical printhead is transported parallel to a surface of the vacuum imaging drum (300). After the dye donor material (26) and the first receiver have been removed from the vacuum imaging drum (300), an inkjet printhead (602) applies ink to a second receiver mounted on the vacuum imaging drum (300) as the inkjet printhead (602) is transported parallel to the surface of the vacuum imaging drum (300).

    • A delivery device for thin-film material deposition has at least first, second, and third inlet ports for receiving a common supply for a first, a second and a third gaseous material, respectively. Each of the first, second, and third elongated emissive channels allow gaseous fluid communication with one of corresponding first, second, and third inlet ports. The delivery device can be formed from apertured plates, superposed to define a network of interconnecting supply chambers and directing channels for routing each of the gaseous materials from its corresponding inlet port to a corresponding plurality of elongated emissive channels. The delivery device comprises a diffusing channel formed by a relief pattern between facing plates. Also disclosed is a process for thin film deposition. Finally, more generally, a flow diffuser and a corresponding method of diffusing flow is disclosed.
