摘要： A device for shaving hairs growing from skin including a base portion having a grip, a shaving head which carries at least one cutting member having at least one cutting edge, and an actuator for effecting a periodical motion of the cutting member relative to the base portion to improve the cutting action of the cutting member. The shaving head is pivotable relative to the base portion about a pivot axis and the periodical motion of the cutting member is a periodical motion relative to the shaving head. The position and orientation of the geometrical path of the periodical motion of the cutting member relative to the skin is well-defined, so that the risk of skin irritations and skin injuries is considerably reduced.

摘要： The invention relates to a personal care system (1) comprising an electrical shaver (3) and a cleaning device (5) for cleaning a shaving head (7) of the shaver (3). The cleaning device comprises a container (11) for a cleaning liquid (13) and a supporting member (15) for the shaver. According to the invention the cleaning device comprises a displacing system (17) for displacing the supporting member relative to the container from a first position in which the shaving head, when in operation the shaver is supported by the supporting member, is not in contact with the cleaning liquid in the container, to a second position in which the shaving head, when in operation the shaver is supported by the supporting member, is at least partially immersed in the cleaning liquid in the container. Thus, in order to clean the shaving head, the shaving head is displaced into the cleaning liquid in the container, and after being cleaned the shaving head is displaced out of the cleaning liquid again so that a drying process can be started. The cleaning device does not need any pumping or other displacing means for the cleaning liquid, so that the risk of obstructions in the cleaning device by accumulating dirt and debris is considerably limited. Preferably the shaving head comprises at least one rotating cutting unit which is able to provide a sufficient pumping effect for the cleaning liquid when the shaving head is immersed in the cleaning liquid.

According to the invention, the shaving head (7) is pivotable relative to the base portion (3) about a pivot axis (25), and the periodical motion (P) of the cutting member (9, 11) is a periodical motion relative to the shaving head. As a result, the position and orientation of the shaving head relative to the skin (27) are less dependent on the manner in which the user holds the device (1) in his hand and positions the device relative to the skin. In this manner, the position and orientation of the geometrical path of the periodical motion of the cutting member relative to the skin is well-defined, so that the risk of skin irritations and skin injuries is considerably reduced.

The storage volume may be varied by a defamation of the membrane. The variable storage volume has an output port. The fluid reservoir further includes a forcing member to exert a force on the membrane to pressurize a fluid in the storage volume. The forcing member has a recess for receiving a part of the storage volume. The membrane may be received into the recess of the forcing member during a compression stroke. By virtue thereof, a volume defined by the recess may be effectively used to become part of the storage volume for the fluid.
