摘要： Neurosurgical devices including or used with cannulas or catheters and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. The neurosurgical devices can include, for example, a cannula having a main portion and an angle-forming member proximate a distal end of the main portion. The angle-forming member can be configured to transition from a substantially straight configuration while the cannula is advanced through tissue along a substantially straight first portion of a path to an angled configuration when the angle-forming member reaches an end of the substantially straight first portion of the path. The neurosurgical devices also can include, for example, a neurosurgical catheter including a surface disrupter, an elongated macerator, or a lateral opening. Neurosurgical catheterization portals also are disclosed. The neurosurgical catheterization portals can, for example, have an adjustable portal that is movable relative to a body to accommodate different entry angles of a catheterization path.

摘要： A new tool handle is disclosed that permits a wiping blade, brush, or similar tool to be positioned in a variety of angular positions. The device utilizes a spline, set in a block to rotate the tool carrying wrist. The spline is locked into place by a pin which is slidably positioned within the block. The handle of the device is used to engage the pin. The handle is provided with threads which engage similar threads in the block. As the handle is screwed into the block, it engages the pin and pushes it upwards against the spline, thereby locking the tool carrying wrist in place. The angle can be changed by simply backing out the handle until the pin drops, thereby releasing the spline, which can then be rotated into a new position and again locked into place. The device also utilizes a blade mounting plate which attaches to the tool carrying wrist. The working tools are attached to this plate. The plate is fastened to the wrist by a bolt, nut and nylon washer. The washer allows the blade mounting plate to rotate without losing tension on the bolt. This arrangement prevents the plate from working loose when the blade is being turned.

摘要： A decorative charm and fastener system and its method for use upon an item to be worn by the user or a pet animal; the item to be worn may be a shoe, an item of clothing (including shirts, hats and caps, or the like), or a pet collar. The fundamental embodiment features a charm part and a base part that may be connected together on opposite sides of the item to be worn, with the item situated between the base part and the charm part. The system also includes an elastically compressible washer member that is placed upon the charm part. The compressible washer promotes a secure, yet temporary, connection between the charm part and base part when those respective parts are installed upon an item. Assortments of different charms thus are interchangeable for temporary attachment to the base part. Specialized alternative versions of the apparatus are disclosed for use upon the shoelaces of a shoe, as a pet collar. A variety of decorations accordingly may selectively be used in combination with a shoe, pet collar, or other item.

The tubular body has a proximal region and a distal region opposite the proximal region. The catheter further comprises a plurality of fluid delivery lumens formed into the tubular body. The catheter further comprises an inner core configured for insertion into the tubular body. The inner core comprises an elongate electrical conductor having a plurality of flattened regions, each flattened region having a first flat side and a second flat side opposite the first flat side. The inner core further comprises a plurality of ultrasound radiating members mounted in pairs to the flattened regions of the elongate electrical conductor. A first ultrasound radiating member is mounted to the first flat side of the elongate electrical conductor, and a second ultrasound radiating member is mounted to the second flat side of the elongate electrical conductor. The catheter further comprises control electronics configured to apply a driving signal to at least two, but fewer than all, of the ultrasound radiating members.

The method further comprises receiving the thermal measurement signal at a second portion of the catheter. The method further comprises comparing the delivered thermal measurement signal with the received thermal measurement signal to evaluate a blood flow rate at the treatment site.
