摘要： A rotatable wireless electrical coupler is disclosed that presents a wireless alternative to mechanical slip rings, such as are used in rotatable mechanical assemblies such as dome cameras. The rotatable wireless electrical coupler is designed to provide for the wireless transfer therethrough of electrical power, video and data signals. A rotatable multi-function transformer of the electrical coupler is designed primarily for the transfer of electrical power therethrough, and can also be used for the transfer of data signals. A rotatable electrical capacitor of the electrical coupler is designed primarily for the transfer of video data signals therethrough, and can also be used for the transfer of control and feedback data signals. In a dome camera, the rotatable wireless electrical coupler transfers power and data signals to and from a rotatable platform/section on which is mounted a video camera, pan and tilt motors and other associated electrical components.

摘要： A system for detecting motion in a video image is provided wherein the video image is processed into a statistical array in which the array elements are derived from overlapping portions of the image. The elements of the statistical array are compared with corresponding array elements derived from an earlier image. The overlapping nature of the statistical array elements allows any detected changes in the image to be correlated with a portion of the image that is smaller than the area from which the statistical quantities are derived. Such spatial correlation of detected image changes is accomplished by thresholding and/or Boolean comparisons among the elements of the statistical array. A motion detection system in accordance with this invention can be used with a video multiplexing system so that motion can be detected at a plurality of remote locations.

摘要： A video disc record of the constant angular velocity type (CAV) includes a spiral groove of constant pitch formed in a band on a surface thereof. The groove has a substantially constant nominal vertical dimension and vertical displacements which taper monotonically from an outer radius of the band to an inner radius. One component of the vertical displacement of the groove conveys an FM carrier wave of constant amplitude and relatively high frequency representative of picture information. A second component of the vertical displacement conveys one or more lower frequency FM carrier waves representative of sound information. The amplitude of the second component varies monotonically as a function of the groove radius within the record band to provide a disc having an improved audio FM carrier-to-noise ratio with no substantial perceptible increase in undesirable sound beat effects in images displayed when the disc is played. A mastering system exemplary of the method of forming the grooved disc includes variable gain units in an audio FM carrier wave processing path of the system.
