摘要： Static charges and agglomeration of particles in a fluidized bed system are minimized by maintaining in at least part of the bed a radio frequency glow discharge. This approach is eminently suitable for processes in which the conventional charge removing agents, i.e., moisture or conductive particle coatings, cannot be used. The technique is applied here to the disproportionation of calcium peroxide diperoxyhydrate to yield calcium superoxide, an exceptionally water and heat sensitive reaction.

摘要： Calcium superoxide is prepared in high yields by spreading a quantity of calcium peroxide diperoxyhydrate on the surface of a container over an area of 18 to 300 cm.sup.2 per gram of diperoxyhydrate; positioning said container in a vacuum chamber on a support structure through which a coolant fluid can be circulated; partially evacuating said vacuum chamber, allowing the temperature of the diperoxyhydrate to reach to a level within the range of about 0.degree. to about 40.degree. C, with the assistance of an external source of heat or liquid coolant, as needed; maintaining the temperature selected for a period of time sufficient to complete the disproproriation of the diperoxyhydrate to calcium superoxide, calcium hydroxide, oxygen and water; while maintaining the partial vacuum, constantly and systematically removing the water as it is formed by sweeping the reacting material with a current of dry inert gas and/or by condensation of said water on a cold surface; backfilling the chamber with a dry inert gas; and finally recovering the calcium superoxide produced.

摘要： A display hanger for an article such as a screwdriver includes a body having an aperture for receiving a hanger hook, and a downwardly depending tongue. The tongue includes a pair of arch-shaped pockets which are open at a rear face of the body. An elastomeric grommet is installable into the body. The grommet is formed of one piece and includes two arch-shaped sections and an integral web interconnecting the sections to define a hinge. The grommet sections include respective holes which can be brought into alignment by folding the grommet about the hinge. The sections of the folded grommet can be inserted simultaneously into the pockets and held therein by friction and/or rib-and-groove couplings. The screwdriver is inserted vertically through both holes of the grommet and retained therein by friction fit.
