摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce a part of a pipe by plastic deformation by thrusting a ring- shaped member made of elastomer into a metallic pipe, enclosing the outer circumference of the ring shaped member with a member, and bulging the inner circumference by pressing the ring-shaped member between two end faces. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 90 is thrusted into the hole 18 of a circumferential member 15, a ring-shaped member 21 and a washer 22 under the condition where a pipe 91 is inserted into a pipe 90. When a piston 12 is extruded from a cylinder 11 by a hydraulic device 10, a pressing member 19 moves to the direction of the end face 17, and the ring-shaped member 21 is pressed strongly between the circumferential member 15 and end face 17 from both end faces through the washer 22. Consequently, the ring-shaped member bulges to inside and the pipe 90 is plastic deformed to form a reduced part 94. Accordingly, a ring-shaped packing is compressed inside of the reduced part 94 and the pipe 91 is joined to the pipe 90 airtightly.
