摘要： A method of separating metal particulates from a slurry of original constituents of liquid metal and metal particulates and salt particulates is disclosed. The metal and salt particulates are concentrated by removing at least some of the liquid metal, and then, liquid metal or a liquid of the original salt constituent or a mixture thereof is passed through the particulates at a temperature greater than the melting point of the original salt constituent to further concentrate the metal particulates. The metal particulates are then separated from the remaining original constituents or a mixture of the salt constituent. Density differences between the liquid metal and salt are also used to facilitate separation.

摘要： A system and method of separating metal powder from a slurry of liquid metal and metal powder and salt is disclosed in which the slurry is introduced into a first vessel operated in an inert environment when liquid metal is separated from the metal powder and salt leaving principally salt and metal powder substantially free of liquid metal. The salt and metal powder is transferred to a second vessel operated in an inert environment with both environments being protected from contamination. Then the salt and metal powder are treated to produce passivated powder substantially free of salt and liquid metal. The method is particularly applicable for use in the production of Ti and its alloys.

摘要： This invention relates to a method for a single application of wood bleach that improves the degree of whiteness, uniformity and depth of bleaching in the wood. The method includes the application of sufficient quantities of wood bleach to maintain an excess of liquid on the surface of wood for an extended time such as a minimum of 10 minutes to obtain penetration to a greater depth. Periodic motion of an abrasive powder, or an abrasive pad to continually relocate the excess bleach on the wood surface, either by machine or by hand, provides even distribution and eliminates the raised grain on the bleached wood. Another aspect to the invention is a single step process of bleaching and dyeing in which the dye is mixed in the bleach solution.

The ring is positionable to a first position permitting engagement and disengagement of the ring to the pump housing and a second position retaining the extended suction set to the pump housing by the interaction of a margin of a fan shaped aperture in the planar wall of the ring urging a flange of a fitting of the extended suction set towards the pump housing when a plurality of lips on the housing engage and retain respective lugs on the ring. A detent member on the ring is movable past a stop member on the housing to secure the ring in the engaged position. The planar wall is deformed when the ring is engaged with the housing to secure the fitting against the housing.
