摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask assembly having a headgear assembly that provides more comfortability to a patient without deteriorating its functionality.SOLUTION: A headgear assembly, which retains frames and cushions for a respiratory mask assembly, at appropriate places of a patient's face, consists of soft and flexible materials and includes two side portions and a rear portion between them. Each side portion comprises an upper side strap which is adapted and disposed to be put on above the patient's ear and eye when used and a lower side strap which is adapted and disposed to be put on below the patient's ear and eye when used. The upper and lower side straps are adapted and disposed so as to be connected with the frame. The rear portion is adapted and disposed so as to be engaged with a lower portion of the patient's occipital bone when used, and the rear portion is provided with a reinforced layer which is adapted so as to maintain the positions of each of the upper and lower side straps of the side portions in a state apart from the patient's ears when used.

A baffle (161) has at least one bending portion at an end of the second portion, and the baffle is configured to be able to lead an exhaust gas out, in a second direction which is substantially opposite to a first direction and is substantially parallel with a second axial line, from a nasal breathing cavity through the vent hole.
