摘要： A method for communicating uplink control information to a base station using a user equipment is presented. The method includes identifying component carriers on the user equipment scheduled for Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) transmissions, and identifying at least one first ranking for each of the component carriers for transmission of uplink control information. Each first ranking is at least partially determined by whether the component carrier is configured for delay-sensitive transmissions. The method includes using the at least one first ranking to select a first component carrier for transmission of uplink control information, and encoding uplink control information into the first component carrier for transmission to the base station.

Such a method can improve distance properties in the resulting subcode. In various embodiments, the structure of a beneficial rearrangement is dependent on the parameters of how known and unknown bits are grouped and on the specific type of code being used. Given these two parameters, the message bits can be rearranged to more efficiently leverage any apriori knowledge.

The method includes receiving a paging message using the first CC and, when the paging message contains a system information change notification, retrieving CC identification information from the paging message, the CC identification information identifying the second CC, receiving system information SI using the second CC, the SI containing SI scheduling information for the second CC, and during a subframe following a modification boundary, receiving second SI using the second CC. In some cases the identification information of the second CC includes an index of the second CC. 摘要： A system and method for measurement reporting is presented. At least one measurement criterion is identified for at least one of a set of assigned component carriers. The measurement criterion includes at least one of a comparison of a signal quality of a first assigned component carrier with a first threshold, a comparison of a signal quality of a neighboring cell with a second threshold, and a comparison of the signal quality of the first assigned component carrier with the signal quality of the neighboring cell. Upon detecting that the at least one criterion is satisfied, a measurement report is transmitted. In some cases the neighboring cell includes at least one of a non-serving cell, a non-assigned component carrier, or at least one of the component carriers in the set of assigned component carriers that is not the first assigned component carrier.
