    • There is disclosed a system and method of processing a markup language electronic mail In an embodiment the method comprise (i) identifying in a head section of markup language code any style rules for rendering the markup language based e-mail and sorting the style rules in order of reference in the markup language code (ii) in dependence predetermined rules interleaving the rules for placement in a body section of one of more blocks of markup language code corresponding to one of more section of the markup language e-mail and (iii) storing the one or more block of markup language code including the interleaved style rules as separately downlaod able block of data corresponding to sections of the markup language based e-mail. In another embodiment the, method further comprises (iv) receiving at a mobile communication devices a block of mark up language code for rendering a section of the markup language based e-mail on a display (V) identifying in the block of markup language code any style rules interleaved therein for rendering the section of the markup language based e-mail on the display (vi) processing the interleaved rules indentified in the block of markup language code and (vii) rendering the section of the mark up language bases e-mail on the display using the processed style rules.

    • A system and method for providing code signing services. A public key and a corresponding private key may be required in order to enable applications to access sensitive APIs and associated resources of a computing device when the applications are executed on the computing device. In one embodiment, a method of providing code signing services will comprise the steps of receiving a code signing request to sign a software application accessing a sensitive application programming interface, wherein the code signing request comprises the software application that the requestor is requesting to have signed with a private key which is associated with the sensitive application programming interface; digitally signing the software application, wherein a digital signature is generated using said private key associated with the sensitive application programming interface; and transmitting the digital signature.

    • A device and method for modifying content (300, 450) for use on a mobile electronic device. The content (300, 450) includes (i) a plurality of content image files (311, 454) each including graphics information for generating an associated image and (ii) computer instructions (310, 452) including references to the plurality of image files (311, 454) for causing the associated images to be displayed on a display screen.     • A system and method that facilitates the authentication of streamed data received at a device, where authentication information is not distributed over the data stream. One embodiment of a method of authenticating data comprises the steps of: receiving, at the device, data in a plurality of packets transmitted by a data server; submitting a request for a server-computed authentication value to a data authentication server, wherein the data authentication server is adapted to compute the server-computed authentication value based on a subset of the data transmitted by the data server; receiving, at the device, the server-computed authentication value from the data authentication server in response to the request; computing a device-computed authentication value based on a subset of the data received at the device corresponding to the subset of the data transmitted by the data server; and determining if the subset of the data received at the device is authentic by comparing the server-computed and device-computed authentication values.
