    • A method and apparatus is provided in which a digital image is transmitted to a presentation projector resource over a wireless transmission medium using a reduced amount of transmission bandwidth by transmitting a subset of the digital image data. The subset image data may be a delta subset that represents those areas of the image that have changed since the previous transmission. The subset image data may also be a scalable vector graphics representation of the subset of the digital image. Header data is provided to further describe the subset image data. A projector discovery logic selects a suitable projector resource based on the order or signal strength of the discovery replies. A wireless image transmission session is established with the selected projector resource during which the projector is unavailable to other devices. The subset image data may be compressed and transmission coordinated with the projector resource so that the data is sent only when it is ready to be received. A wireless to digital visual interface (DVI) graphics engine decompresses and renders the image for output to a DVI connector receptacle. The rendered image is projected by the projector resource in accordance with the associated header data so that the exact image that appears on the image generation device also appears on the projected display.

    • An apparatus and a method are provided for proxying communications between devices on an IP telephony network. In a preferred embodiment, an appliance comprising a network server and proxy server software includes filtering rules which can be modified to enable proxied communication between an IP phone on a first data network, such as, for example, the internet, and a call processing server located on a second data network. In another embodiment, an appliance comprises a proxy server that proxies call-processing and signaling communications between an authenticated IP phone on a first data network and a call processing server located on a second data network. In another embodiment, the appliance relays voice traffic between IP phones. In another embodiment, the proxy server software operates in a secure mode to permit encryption and decryption of voice and control communications. In another embodiment, the proxy server enables proxied communications between a call processing server and an IP phone by modifying the provisioning data exchanged between the call processing server and the IP phone.

    • Disclosed is a method of isotropically dry etching a current conducting runner comprising polysilicon material which is formed on a silicon substrate wafer containing integrated semiconductor circuits. The method employs a parallel plate reactor which is controllable to provide intermittent pulses of power over the parallel plates. Gases are injected to within the reactor to provide a reactive gas mixture at a preselected pressure. Preselected intermittent pulses of power are applied to ionize the reactive gas mixture into a plasma state. Such intermittent pulses are defined by an RFon period, an RFoff period, and an RFrepeat period. The ratio of RFon:RFrepeat is preferably from about 0.35 to 0.60. The wafer is subjected to the intermittent pulses and reactive gas mixture at the preselected pressure for a preselected amount of time to selectively isotropically etch the current conducting runner. The invention has specific application to isotropically dry etching a WSi.sub.x /polysilicon sandwich structure. With such a structure, the preferred reactive gas mixture is SF.sub.6, Cl.sub.2, O.sub.2, and an inert carrier gas in approximate respective volume ratios of 10.0.+-.5%:2.0.+-.5%:3.0.+-.5%:15.0.+-.5%.
