摘要： A bagless canister vacuum cleaner (A) includes a selectively removable dirt cup (D), and an airstream (S) flows rotationally through the dirt cup (D) between an interior wall (31) of the dirt cup (D) and a filter assembly (F) selectively mounted in the dirt cup (D) so that entrained contaminants are separated from the airstream (S) flowing through the dirt cup (D) and collected by the dirt cup (D). The filter lies substantially parallel to the support surface on which the vacuum cleaner (A) is supported. A cover member (74) is connected to the main housing (B), and the cover member (74) is selectively movable to and held in an operative position in covering relation with an open first end (32) of a dirt cup (D). The main housing (B) defines a base (150) conformed to self-support the main housing (B) on a support surface with the dirt cup (D) arranged with its open first end (32) at a higher elevation than is closed second end (34). The removable dirt cup (D) includes a handle (80) adapted for being held by a user, and the dirt cup (D) defines or includes a spout (58) to facilitate emptying dirt therefrom.

摘要： The present invention relates to an upright vacuum cleaner (A) including a housing (D) and a nozzle base (C) having a main suction opening (24). The housing is pivotally mounted on the nozzle base. The housing comprises a cyclonic separator (70) including a dirty air inlet (72) and a sidewall (76). A lower end (86) of the separator being secured to a lower skirt (88). A dust collector section (100) is located beneath the separator and includes a sidewall (102). A perforated tube (140) is disposed within the separator. The perforated tube includes a shroud (152) extending away from a closed lower end of the perforated tube. A diameter of the shroud is larger than a diameter of the separator lower end. The lower skirt and the shroud define a first air channel (170) for directing air from the separator into the dust collector section. The first air channel has a substantially constant volume for maintaining airflow velocity.

摘要： An upright carpet extractor for solution cleaning of floor and above floor surfaces has a low profile base assembly (A) including a base housing (10) and a recovery tank and nozzle assembly (18) removably mounted on the housing. The recovery tank and nozzle assembly includes a recovery tank (120, 552) for collecting recovered cleaning solution and a nozzle cover (134) which is attached to a forward portion of the recovery tank exterior to define a nozzle flowpath (138) therebetween. Working air and recovered cleaning solution are drawn through the nozzle flowpath and into the recovery tank by a motor and fan assembly (20,534) mounted to the base housing, rearward of the recovery tank. The nozzle flowpath is removed from the base together with the recovery tank when the recovery tank is to be emptied, allowing the nozzle flowpath to be rinsed conveniently to remove trapped dirt. A carrying handle (250), pivotally mounted to the recovery tank, selectively locks the recovery tank to the housing and locks a removable lid (204) of the recovery tank to the tank to seal a discharge opening (200).

A nozzle assembly 67 is mounted to the base housing and provides a fluid flowpath 182 for dirty cleaning fluid from the floor surface to the recovery tank. The nozzle assembly is pivotable from a first position, in which the fluid flowpath communicates with the recovery tank, to a second position, in which the nozzle assembly is spaced from the recovery tank to allow the recovery tank to be removed from the base housing.
