CONSTITUTION:Seawater purifying equipment A is constructed along the seashore of a sea area S and equipped with a breakwater permitting the passage of the waves W generated in the sea area S, the purifying part 4 provided on the land side of the bank 1 and constituted so as to be changed in its water level corresponding to the tide level of the sea area S and purifying seawater with the microorganism carrier arranged there and the retarding part 2 adjacent to the breakwater 1 on the land side thereof and storing seawater W getting over the breakwater 1 to supply the same to the purifying part 4 by difference in the water level. The seawater X getting over the breakwater 1 to flow in is stored to make the water level of the retarding part 2 higher than the tide level of the sea area S and supplied to the purifying part 4 by the difference in the water level between the retarding part and the purifying part 4 to be purified by the microorganism carrier in the purifying part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify domestic sewage discharged to rivers by a natural purification action and to conserve landscape by aquatic plants and others by forming a clean-up area by vegetation in which aquatic plants and others are planted in a belt along a flow in a river into which living drainage is discharged. SOLUTION: A river 1, with a partition wall 4 installed along a flow, is divided into a clean-up area by a vegetation bet 5 and a river lower part 6, the part 5, with a nearly L-shaped partition 7 connected with the side wall 1a of the river installed, is divided into a purification basin 8 into which domestic sewage 2 is introduced and a purification water channel 9. When the sewage 2 discharged from a sewage pipe 3 is introduced into the basin 8, part of pollutants are decomposed by the action of microorganisms adherent to the surface of pebbles 10 in the basin 8, and wastewater is introduced into the channel 9 filled with oyster shells 12 to be biodegradated/purified by the microorganisms adherent to the surface of the shells 12. Aquatic plants and others growing in soil 13 in the upper part of the channel 9 also contribute to the purification of wastewater.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent invasion of ice boards and weaken waves by providing a second ice prevention wall in rear of a first ice prevention wall, and providing an ice retarding part between the first and the second ice prevention walls. CONSTITUTION:When an ice board 21 rushed by a tide collides against the ice prevention body 14 of a first ice prevention wall 1, bending stress is applied on the ice board 21 due to horizontal force applied on the ice prevention body 14, so as to break the ice board 21. The broken ice board 21 rides upward along the slope 16 of the ice prevention body 14, and falls in an ice retarding part 3. The ice board 21 falling in the ice retarding part 3 is obstructed with a second ice prevention wall 2, so as to be stored in the ice retarding part 3. The front sea territory of the first ice prevention wall 1, and the rear sea territory of the ice retarding part 3 and the ice prevention wall 2, are communicated to each other through a space between the foundation piles 5, 6 of the wall 1 and the slits 19, 20 of the wall 2, and hence the sea water is always exchanged.

    • PURPOSE:To cause a phase difference in wave power acting on each of the upright wall so as to reduce the wave power acting on a wave breaking structure as a whole by setting opening ratios of a front upright wall and a middle upright wall to respective specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A wave breaking structure 1 is constructed so that the distance between a front upright wall 4a and an aftermost upright wall 4c is longer than 0.1 times of the length of the wave, and the distance between the front upright wall 4a and a middle upright wall 4b and that between the middle upright wall 4b and the aftermost upright wall 4c are nearly the same to each other. Also, the opening ratio of the front upright wall 4a beneath the water surface 2 is set to 0.3 to 0.4, and that of the middle upright wall 4b is set to about 0.2. After manufactured on land, this wave breaking structure 1 is floated on the sea by a float, etc. and tugged to a specified position in the sea by a towboat, etc., and fixed and installed on a foundation 3 which is placed on the sea bottom ground 8.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the wave breaking effect of a wave breaking structure by a method in which the interval between at least three rows of equidistant upright walls and the final wall is regulated to a given multiple of the wavelength of waves and also the area of the through openings of the top and middle walls is specified. CONSTITUTION:Three rows of upright walls 4a, 4b, and 4c are formed at a fixed interval on the base 3 on the seabed ground 8 to form water-retarding areas 5a and 5b. Rectangular holes 7 are formed among a plurality of columns 6 formed in the middle wall 4b and the top wall 4a to make up a wave breaking structure 1. The interval between the wall 4a and the final wall 4c is regulated to about 0.2-0.25 times the wavelength of incoming waves, and the area of the hole 7 under water surface 2 is also regulated to an opening ratio divided by the whole area of the upright wall 4 under water surface 2. The opening ratio is 0.3-0.4 for the wall 4a and 0.1-0.2 for the wall 4b. The intervals between the walls in the water-retarding areas 5a and 5b are almost equalized.
