    • A nasal respiratory mask used in continuous positive airway pressure treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, the mask comprising: a mask shell including an angled connecter which has a distal end for connection to a gas supply conduit and a proximal end for connection to the mask, the connector communicating the supplied gas from the gas supply conduit to the interior of the mask, the mask shell also including a pair of slotted connectors adapted to be connected to ends of a lower head strap for securing the nasal mask to the wearer's head; a joining member connected to the top of the mask shell generally adjacent and above the wearer's nose; a generally T-shaped cushion frame forming a forehead support which includes a pair of forehead cushions, one mounted at each end of the upper portion of the T on the wearer contacting side, the T-shaped cushion frame further including a slotted connector adjacent each of the forehead cushions, the slotted connectors being adapted to be connected to ends of an upper head strap for securing the cushion frame to the wearer's head, the T-shaped cushion frame mounted to the joining member by at least one shaft passing through a circular opening on the joining member which provides pivotal or rotational movement between the T-shaped cushion frame and the joining member about the axis substantially as shown in Fig.1 between a first angular position as shown generally in Fig.4 and a second angular position as shown generally in Fig.7, the generally T-shaped cushion frame further comprising a locking mechanism adapted to lock the generally T-shaped cushion frame at an angular position with respect to the joining member.
