    • Systems and techniques for communication using coordinated multi-point transmission. The processor is configured to cause the apparatus to determine a linear phase variation between at least first and second transmissions from first and second transmission points based at least in part on a propagation delay difference between the first and second transmissions, and transmit the phase variation information for at least the first and the second transmissions. An apparatus configured to operate as a transmission point in a network receives linear phase variation information indicating phase variation experienced by at least one user equipment resulting from a propagation delay difference between at least the apparatus and a second apparatus operating as a second transmission point and manages transmission so as to control phase variation resulting from the propagation delay difference.

    • Exemplary methods and devices related to controlling user equipment assumption of interference are described. In particular, there is proposed a device, comprising a controller, configured to control a plurality of transmission points, each constituted by a set of at least one transmit antenna, to transmit data to another device in a coordinated transmission from at least a subset of the plurality of transmission points. The controller is configured to allocate, to each resource linked to the subset of the plurality of transmission points designated for transmission towards the another device, an interference contribution parameter that is indicative of an expected interference contribution originating from said transmission point, and to inform said another device of those resources to which the subset of the plurality of transmission points designated for transmission towards the another device is linked, together with the respective interference contribution parameter allocated to each resource. Another device comprises a controller configured to report feedback, wherein the feedback signal is based on signals which are scaled with the respective interference contribution parameter allocated to the respective resource.

The method also causes channel state information reference signals to be received via the plurality of resource elements of the PRB that are allocated for the provision of channel state information reference signals.
