    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily visualizing stress acting on the ground for understanding the stress.
SOLUTION: A pressure-sensitive color developer 3 is formed which keeps a dye or pigment encapsulated in a plurality of types of microcapsules 6 having different rupture strengths, and the microcapsules 6 arranged by classifying on the basis of the rupture strengths. The pressure-sensitive color developer 3 is buried in the ground. The stress acting on the ground is visualized by a classification in which the dye or pigment develops by breaking the microcapsules 6, according to the stress acting on the ground.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of estimation more than an estimate that when the concentration of specific ions suddenly increases, ground displacement probably occurs in estimating the occurrence of ground displacement such as a landslide and surface failure. SOLUTION: When microscopic ground displacement such as a landslide and surface failure occurs to cause cracks, fine soil particles get mixed in ground water, and this is estimated to be an active ion exchange place, so that a sudden increase in turbidity of ground water is observed. Further, when a sudden increase in concentration of specific ions in the ground water is observed, it is estimated that ground displacement to such a degree to be observed in an inclinometer probably occurs in a minute. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prediction method using a fall predictor installed in a base rock, predicting a fall of the base rock, eliminating a labor hour for correctly and horizontally installing the fall predictor when it is installed, and simply observing the base rock in the dark night without a lighting apparatus.
SOLUTION: In the fall predictor 1, a liquid 5 and a gas 6 are not mixed, and sealed in a spherical casing 2. A phosphorescent pigment is mixed in the liquid 5. A longitude mark and a latitude mark are formed on the casing 2. The fall predictor 1 is installed in the base rock R. A change in the longitude and latitude on a surface of the liquid can be observed from a remote site in the night by utilizing a light emitted from the phosphorescent pigment. When the change reaches a preset value, it predicts that there is a possibility that the base rock falls.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection precision of a ground monitoring device for monitoring abnormality of the ground, such as a collapse of the ground.
SOLUTION: When discriminating ground abnormality from a light quantity value detected by a light detection sensor 5 provided in a ground monitoring device, three-step discrimination is performed by a differential light quantity value, namely the difference between an independent light quantity value detected by an independent light detection sensor and a light quantity value that another light detection sensor has detected and a sum light quantity value, namely the sum of the independent light quantity value and the differential light quantity value, thus precisely discriminating ground abnormality.
