    • PURPOSE:To enable measurement even during high speed running of 300km or more, by defining the distance between the perpendicular facing surface to the side surface of a rail at one point among two points of a rail surface spaced apart by a base line length from each other and the other point as passage and continuously measuring this passage. CONSTITUTION:The rail replacements (a), (b) based on a vehicle body and the angle phi of revolution of the vehicle body to the reference perpendicular surface of a gyroscope are converted into voltages by a gyro-selsyn 2' while said voltages are converted into digital values by an A/D converter 19. Subsequently, (b-a)/l (wherein l is the segment connecting two points on the side surface of a rail), the angle phi formed by the segment (l) and the long axis of the vehicle body and the angle theta formed by the segment (l) and an absolute reference perpendicular surface are respectively calculated by an operator 20, an operator 21 and an operator 22, and the direction of the perpendicular facing surface at each measuring point on the side surface of the rail is calculated by a moving average operator 25. In this case, operations are performed in synchronous relation to the distance pulse generated at every definite running distance by a pulse generator 33. The angle thetai' formed by the segment (l) and the reference perpendicular surface is calculated by an operator 26 and long wavelength passage ai=ltanthetai' is calculated by an operator 27. The passage ai is outputted as it is and, at the same time, sent to a difference operator 36 and difference DELTAai is calculated and converted into an analogue signal by a D/A converter 31 to be outputted.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stable, accurate detection signal by fixing the number of projection pulses to each reflecting plate to 3 or 4 without reference to a speed by utilizing distance pulses, and minimizing projection pulses to places other than reflecting plates. CONSTITUTION:A distance pulse generator 2 coupled directly with wheels 1 generates distance pulses (a) at constant intervals of distance proportional to the rotating speed of the wheel 1, those pulses are passed through a waveform shaping circuit 3, and the pulse intervals are so adjusted by a variable counter circuit 4 so that three or four pulses are generated to the width of the reflecting plate 10. The pulses (b) are passed through a differential pulse generating circuit 6 and increased in power level by a driver 7, so that a light emitting element 8 emits light pulses (c). A photodetection part detects and obtains only pulses synchronized with the synchronizing pulses (b) among emitted light pulses (d) through a synchronous detector 16. Then, a decision circuit 14 outputs a detection signal indicating that there is the reflecting plate from a terminal 15 with two continuous pulses.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the amount of the irregularities of a rail with repect to the length of a chord, which is longer than a measuring chord, by synthesizing the data of the displacement amounts, which are measured with four displacement sensors provided on mesuring trucks of two-truck method, and performing correction. CONSTITUTION:Two displacement sensors for detecting the displacements in height and right and left of a rail with respect to a reference line B are provided on two trucks of track measuring trucks, respectively. The mutual intervals are made to be 11, 12, and 11 (12=K1, where K>1), and a measuring chord having the length of 211+12 is constituted. The section between measuring points P and V is measured by the first measurement, and the displacement amounts at measuring points (p), (r), (u) and (v) with respect to the reference line B are obtained. The measuring truck is moved, and the section between the measuring points (r) and (q) is measured by the second measurement. The displacement amounts at the measuring points (r), (t), (v) and (q) with respect to the reference line B are obtained. Then, both displacement amount data are synthesized, and the displacement amount caused by the arc of the rail between the measuring points (t) and (u) is obtained. The sisplacement amount of an intermediate point (m) with respect to the chord forming the chord length of 311+12=L between the measuring points (p) and (q) is obtained.
