摘要： Aspects directed towards measurement procedures in multicarrier operation are disclosed. In a particular aspect, a wireless terminal selects a subset of cells, which include at least one serving cell and at least one non-serving cell. The subset of cells are then evaluated by obtaining a first measurement associated with the at least one serving cell and a second measurement associated with the at least one non-serving cell. A measurement event occurrence, which is based on a comparison between the first measurement and the second measurement, is then monitored. An occurrence of the measurement event triggers a measurement report transmission, which the network then uses to perform handovers. Other disclosed embodiments are directed towards placing a reception band, which include identifying a set of assigned component carriers and placing a reception band within the system bandwidth so that the placement overlaps with at least a portion of the assigned component carriers.

摘要： Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate selective release of mobile devices using conflicting identifiers when communicating with an access point. The access point can detect the conflicting identifier and transmit a selective release message to the mobile devices. The selective release message can include a disambiguation identifier so the appropriate mobile device can identify that it is incorrectly connected to the access point and can release its connection. The disambiguation identifier can be one or more unique aspects of the correctly or incorrectly connected mobile device, such as an identifier, previous message related aspects, whether a security or context check can be decoded, etc. Thus, connection of the incorrectly connected mobile device can be released without additionally releasing the correctly connected mobile device.

Data on the downlink channel can then be scheduled to ensure that data intended for the user equipment is not lost while the user equipment is performing the measurement.

摘要： In a wireless communication system, user equipment (UE) has autonomy provided by one or more set of rules to handle processing during a measurement gap. UE can ignore or use only a portion of the whole measurement gap if not needed. Thereby, an urgent need for remaining tuned to source carrier frequency can be supported, such as utilizing Random Access Channel (RACH) procedure. UE can also choose to tune to a target carrier frequency supporting timely handovers. Depending on the type of processing required (download shared channel (DL SCH, UL SCH, TTI bundling, RACH or SR), the UE may store requests and process the measurements during the gap or ignore the gap measurement as if there were no gaps.

In an aspect, system bandwidth information may be signaled to first user equipments (UEs) supporting a first set of system bandwidths and second UEs supporting a second set of system bandwidths. In one design, a base station may obtain and broadcast system bandwidth information indicating a first system bandwidth for the first UEs and a second system bandwidth for the second UEs. The first system bandwidth may be selected from the first set, and the second system bandwidth may be selected from the second set, which may be a superset of the first set. The system bandwidth information may include a first part and a second part. The first part may convey the first system bandwidth for the first UEs.
