When a first protocol stack is in a radio resource control (RRC) -connected state in a network associated with the first RAT, a tune-away event on the first protocol stack may be detected in which the RF resource tunes from the network associated with the first RAT to a network associated with the second RAT, and the RF resource tunes back to the network associated with the first RAT after a tune-away duration. A first scheduling request procedure may be triggered on the first protocol stack, and a protection window mechanism may be implemented during a time window following the tune-away duration.

摘要： Methods and devices address managing synchronization of a radio resource control (RRC) state on a wireless communication device having a radio frequency (RF) resource supporting receive activity of two radio access technologies (RATs). When a first protocol stack is in an RRC connected state, a tune-away of the RF resource is performed for the second RAT, and a media access control layer inactivity timer on the first protocol stack has not expired, the wireless device may determine whether a new resource grant is received from the network of the first RAT ifthe first protocol stack is operating in a connected discontinuous receive mode. If so and the first protocol stack's operational RRC state potentially differs from a corresponding RRC state set in the first RAT network, the wireless device may send a scheduling request to the first RAT network and select a page decode mode for the first protocol stack based on the response of the first RAT network.

摘要： A user equipment (UE) may identify a gap between receipt of packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) packet data units (PDUs) and determine a PDCP context is out-of-synchronization with a serving base station. The determination may be made based on a validity check (e.g., via a deciphering procedure) using a current hyper frame number (HFN) and, in some cases, additional HFNs. In cases where at least one received PDCP PDU is determined to be invalid, the UE may trigger a radio resource control (RRC) connection setup procedure or RRC connection reestablishment procedure between the UE and the serving base station. In cases where received PDCP PDUs are determined to be valid based on attempts to decipher the received PDCP PDUs using the additional HFNs, the UE may reset the current HFN and a PDCP reception window of the PDCP context based on the additional HFN used that resulted in the valid determination.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine, when engaged in a multimedia communication, that the user equipment is receiving an uplink grant without sending a scheduling request. A semi-persistent scheduling mode may not be activated when the user equipment is receiving the uplink grant. In some aspects, the user equipment may forgo transmission of at least one scheduling request based at least in part on determining that the user equipment is receiving the uplink grant. In some aspects, an access point may determine to perform scheduling to provide an uplink grant to a user equipment engaging in a multimedia communication. In some aspects, the access point may configure semi-persistent scheduling and scheduling request masking for a logical channel to cause the user equipment to forgo transmission of a scheduling request. Numerous other aspects are provided.
