In an aspect, an apparatus includes an expansion circuit configured to identify at least one of a selected uplink (UL) channel and a selected downlink (DL) channel that are provided by one of a primary network and an expansion network, and a processing circuit configured to switch to the at least one of the selected UL and DL channels. An apparatus includes means for obtaining link parameters associated with a primary network and an expansion network, means for identifying clients that are assigned transmission channels on both the primary network and the expansion network based on the link parameters, and means for transmitting messages to the clients to indicate the assigned transmission channels.

摘要： A preselect circuit maintains the dynamic range of a received RF input signal during bandpass filtering of the received RF input signal. The preselect circuit includes a Q-deficient passive bandpass filter for coupling to an antenna to receive a received RF input signal. The preselect circuit further includes a Q-enhancement circuit coupled to the Q-deficient passive bandpass filter, wherein the Q-enhancement circuit increases a Q-value of the Q-deficient passive bandpass filter by compensating for resistive inductive losses in the bandpass filter.

In an aspect, an apparatus at a client device (516, 518, 520, 522) comprises means for receiving, from a network device, one or more messages indicating an assigned transmission mode, said transmission mode being one of the following four transmission modes: primary up-link and primary down-link, primary up-link and expansion down-link, expansion up-link and primary down-link and expansion up-link and expansion down-link. Thereby are primary down-link or up-link channels supported by a primary network and the expansion down-link or up-link channels supported by an expansion network. Each of the primary network and the expansion network operates in its own frequency band with different propagation characteristics and emission limits, and the expansion network utilizes unlicensed spectrum having a transmission limit that is lower than for a licensed spectrum used by the primary network.
