摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for avoiding conflicts between evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (eMBMS) operations and paging and/or mobile originated (MO) operations in communication systems. A method for wireless communications by a user Equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes identifying at least one evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) session available for receiving one or more eMBMS services from a base station. The method also includes taking one or more actions to reduce a conflict between receiving the one or more eMBMS services from the base station and receiving a paging message from the base station during the eMBMS session. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using various techniques designed to, for example, limit latency with or without regard to power consumption at the UE and throughput at the UE. In some instances, a user may desire low latency to improve the quality of an application function. In such cases, a UE may prioritize low latency over other efficiencies in order to improve the functionality of or user experience with an application. The user of a UE, or an application running on the UE, may request to operate in a low latency mode, and a component of the UE may receive the request and configure various other components of the UE to operate in the low latency mode.

摘要： Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a modem may receive, from an applications processor of a user equipment (UE), a registration message associated with keep alive offloading. Accordingly, the modem may filter incoming transmission control protocol (TCP) packets to determine a current sequence number and a current acknowledgement number. The modem may further receive, from the applications processor, an indication to perform a keep alive procedure. Accordingly, the modem may transmit, periodically, TCP keep alive packets based on the current sequence number and the current acknowledgement number. Numerous other aspects are described.

Certain aspects provide methods that generally include initiating a first timer upon attempting to transition from a first RAT network to a second RAT network during an IP session and initiating a second timer if a channel in the second RAT network is successfully acquired. According to aspects, a device may transfer context of the IP session to the second RAT network if a session is successfully negotiated in the second network prior to expiration of the second timer and the first and second networks share a common core network for IP services.

摘要： Systems, methods and apparatus described herein include features that enable more efficient management of keep-alive messages utilized to maintain IP addresses and/or PDN connections associated with idle data traffic channels. In one implementation, an access terminal consolidates keep-alive messages for idle data traffic channels, so as to reduce the number of keep-alive messages transmitted. In one implementation, an access terminal selects which of the idle data traffic channels to maintain, and transmits a consolidated keep-alive message for associated IP addresses and/or PDN connections. In one implementation, timers are associated with PDN connections and sub-timers are associated with IP addresses covered by a particular PDN connection. In such an implementation, keep-alive messages can be consolidated based on the timers, the sub-timers and/or a combination of timers and sub-timers. In a complementary method, a PDN gateway or another convenient network node, cooperates with one or access terminals to reduce network traffic. In another complementary method, the PDN gateway or another convenient network node synchronizes the timers and/or sub-timers provided with a particular access terminal.
