    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a tilting backrest with an elastically deformable joint that connects the tilting backrest to the supporting structure of the chair, in which the joint is provided with an end-of-travel that limits the inclination backwards of the backrest and that has a simple and inexpensive structure.SOLUTION: The chair with a tilting backrest comprises a basic structure (12) with a first connection portion (34) and a second connection portion (36), a seat (14), the backrest (16), and the joint (32) which connects the backrest (16) to the basic structure (12). The second connection portion (36) comprises a first arm (40) and a second arm (42). The second arm (42) and the basic structure (12) are provided with respective arrest elements (56, 58), which limit the extent of the travel in a longitudinal direction of the front portion (54) of the second arm (42) with respect to the basic structure (12) and define an end-of-travel of tilting backwards of the backrest (16).
